Brad Pitt and stylish Daisy Edgar-Jones join Lewis Hamilton at star-studded British Grand Prix preview day as four-day racing extravaganza kicks off at Silverstone

Brad Pitt, Lewis Hamilton and Daisy-Edgar Jones were the stars of the British Grand Prix, which started on Thursday with a preview at Silverstone.

Actor Brad (60), racing driver Lewis (39) and Normal People star Daisy (26) were among the big names who arrived when the four-day racing festival, which took place from July 4 to 7, got underway.

This year’s event is about much more than just racing, with the festival featuring a series of great performances over the next four days from the likes of Kings of Leon and Stormzy.

The actual car races begin with a training day on Friday, after which the first races start on Saturday.

Brad was there to film scenes for his upcoming yet-untitled F1 movie, where he will play the role of veteran racing driver Sonny Hayes, who returns to the F1 grid after a long absence.

As for the musical performances during the four-day Grand Prix event, Thursday kicks off with arena-filling anthems from Kings of Leon, followed by Stormzy on Friday – following the event’s family day.

Saturday it’s the turn of the legendary Pete Tong with his iconic dance mixes and on Sunday Rudimental closes the weekend.

In recent years, the Grand Prix has become more of a festival event, whereas previously it was mainly a weekend sporting event.

During the preview event, guests will have the chance to meet the drivers’ trainers and physiotherapists and talk to future talent from the racing world.

Brad will co-produce the film and play the role of a retired Formula 1 driver who gets back behind the wheel.

Production on the film began in 2023 and will feature scenes from this season’s British Grand Prix and Abu Dhabi races.

As DailyMail.com previously reported, all 10 F1 teams will be represented, including the sport’s drivers and the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile.
