Brad Pitt and George Clooney are ‘coming back’ to reprise roles as master thieves in Ocean’s 14… 17 years after starring in Ocean’s Thirteen

Brad Pitt and George Clooney are reportedly set to reprise their roles in a new film from the Ocean’s Eleven franchise: Ocean’s 14.

In addition to their new thriller Wolfs, the actors and good friends last starred opposite each other in the 2007 crime comedy Ocean’s Thirteen.

A report from Term Thursday reveals that the duo may be seen together on the big screen again, 17 years after the release of their last film.

The outlet reported that Pitt – who spoke publicly with girlfriend Ines de Ramon in Venice last week amid his heated divorce battle from ex, Angelina Jolie – and Clooney, 63, are currently in the process of signing Edward Berger to direct the film.

While the project is still in the very early stages and nothing has been confirmed, Deadline also suspects that other stars from the franchise, including Matt Damon, Julia Roberts and Casey Affleck, could also return, joining Pitt, 60, and Clooney.

Nearly a year ago, Clooney revealed the franchise’s future plans when he spoke about a script in development for a future film.

Now, rumors are swirling that Clooney and Pitt are courting Berger to direct Ocean’s 14.

Berger is an emerging filmmaker who directed the 2022 four-time Oscar-winning war action film All Quiet on the Western Front.

Warner Bros. and Smokehouse have reportedly been hard at work on the franchise’s sequel, which would be the first not to feature director Steven Soderbergh.

In December 2023, Clooney said Opproxx that the upcoming film had a strong script.

He indicated that it may not be an exact continuation of the previous films in the franchise and compared the script to the 1979 film Going In Style.

“We have a really good script for another Oceans now, so maybe we’ll do another one,” he said. “It’s actually a great script.”

He also responded to rumors that Barbie stars Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling had been cast in the prequel film and would play his character Danny Ocean’s parents.

Clooney previously said of the casting: ‘Margot Robbie is my mother? I always thought that.’
