A teenager’s left arm was amputated following a freak subway accident on a Queens platform early on Monday morning.

New York Police detectives told DailyMail.com a 15-year-old boy’s limb was severed by a northbound R train as it was leaving the Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue station just before 10.30am.

He was then rushed to Bellevue Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition shortly before 11.30am.

Police have not yet released any details about what exactly led to the boy’s injury, but do not believe there is any criminality involved.

They are now reviewing video footage from the accident at the scene, as trains continue to skip the station.

The MTA has since said northbound M and R trains were skipping Roosevelt Avenue as the police continue their investigation, and delays are expected.
