Boy, 3, has ‘chunk’ torn out of his face in dog attack outside a school

A three-year-old boy has been brutally attacked by a dog outside an Adelaide school.

The boy’s father, Basam Hafiz, told 9News that the “loose” dog tore a “chunk” out of his son’s face.

“He has a big bite on his face,” Mr. Hafiz said.

The father added that his son was playing with a dog in a park next to the school when he was attacked.

The boy and his mother ran into the school, where the child received first aid until ambulances arrived around 4:30 p.m.

The child was taken to the Adelaide Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
