Boy, 16, dies when man inserts compressed air hose into his rectum ‘for fun’ at an Indian factory

A 16-year-old boy has died from internal injuries after a man inserted a compressed air hose into his rectum 'for fun' at an Indian factory.

Motilal Sahu, 16, was joking with factory worker Dheerajsingh Goud, 21, when the worker grabbed the hose from his cleaning machine and pushed it into the teen's rectum.

Police said the sudden blast of air into his rectum severely damaged Motilal's intestines and he collapsed on the floor of the Poona Flour and Foods processing unit in Hadapsar town near Pune City, western India.

Motilal was rushed to a nearby private hospital where he died of internal injuries on Monday morning, Senior Inspector Ravindra Shelke told police. Times of India.

Goud, reportedly a distant relative of Motilal, has been arrested in connection with the teen's death, police said.

Police said the sudden blast of air into his rectum severely damaged Motilal's intestines and he collapsed on the floor of the Poona Flour and Foods processing unit in Hadapsar town near Pune City, western India.

Motilal had become a regular visitor to the food processing unit after moving to Hadapsar two months ago to live with his uncle Shankardin Sahu, who worked at the factory.

Shelke said Motilal and Goud had become “good friends” in recent months.

On Monday, Goud used a compressed air hose to clean the floor and machines in the factory, because the processing unit makes several types of flour that create a lot of dust.

“Gold was cleaning a machine and the floor using the compressor line on Monday when Motilal went there,” Shelke said.

The inspector added: “They started chatting and teasing each other. Goud stood up and inserted the tubing from the walking machine into Motilal's rectum.

“When the air from the rectum entered Motilal's stomach, he fainted and fell to the ground. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died of internal injuries caused by the sudden burst of air into his cavity.”

Although rare, there have been other cases in India of people dying after workers inserted air compressor hoses into their rectums.

In November, a 19-year-old man died after his colleague in Ahmedabad inserted an air compressor hose into his rectum.

And in September, a 25-year-old man in Madhya Pradesh died after his friend inserted a tube into his rectum.
