Boxing star Ryan Garcia railed about the New York Mets after being ejected from Citi Field on Tuesday.
Garcia and Devin Haney, who will headline Saturday at the Barclays Center for the WBC super lightweight title, were scheduled to throw the first pitches ahead of the Mets-Pirates match in Queens.
However, the baseball team withdrew the arrangement in the eleventh hour, fearing that the two boxers would let their animosity cause problems on the field. After the incident, Garcia posted a video criticizing the Mets on his social media.
“Guys, the Mets just wasted three hours of our lives,” Garcia said in the video, while promoter Oscar De La Hoya walked with him. “To say at the end, ‘You can’t throw the field,’ for whatever reason. There was no reason and they kicked us out.”
“I’m personally going to say fuck the Mets,” he exclaimed. “Never go to a damn Mets game again. Fuck the Mets.”

Before Garcia was told to leave the grounds, he had entered the ballpark and practiced his pre-pitch form. The knockout artist also claimed he would throw “a hundred miles an hour, two hundred miles an hour fastball.”
After posting the first video, Garcia continued to express his frustration with
“I will expose the Mets as bad and the MLB,” he said in another tweet.
“GO YANKEES,” he wrote in a third message, referencing the heated rivalry between New York’s baseball teams.

Garcia’s bizarre rants continued as he claimed an earthquake would “destroy” Hollywood and Las Vegas. He also labeled Elon Musk as the Antichrist.
While the Mets may have pulled the plug on having Garcia and Haney on the mound a little too late, sources shared that the decision stemmed from the boxers’ scuffle at the Empire State Building earlier in the day.
During a confrontation in front of the Manhattan skyline, Haney shoved Garcia in the face, sending the Victorville, California native back several feet before they separated.
After the altercation, Garcia said he “identifies as a woman,” making Haney’s act a hate crime.
“Devin touched me without my consent. I’m suing him for laying his hands on me,” Garcia wrote. “And I identify as a woman. So he touched me like a grown man and hit a grown woman. And I am LGBTQ+. So now it’s a hate crime. No, this is SO F***ED UP.”
