Boxing Day celebrations near one of Victoria’s most popular holiday spots descends into wild brawl leaving two men in hospital

Two men are in hospital and police are now investigating after a wild brawl broke out following a Boxing Day evening celebration.

The fight started at 2am on Friday morning on Point Nepean Road in the heart of Sorrento on the Mornington Peninsula. The two injured people have non-life-threatening injuries after a

Victorian police said in a statement that two groups of men started the wild brawl near the Continental Hotel and that their ‘investigation is still ongoing’.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson confirmed a man had been taken with upper and lower body injuries in stable condition to Alfred Hospital.

Police have urged anyone with information about what happened on CCTV footage of the fight itself to contact them immediately.
