Fight fans are furious after undefeated MMA fighter Idris Abdurashidov knocked his opponent unconscious with an illegal head kick during a professional boxing match last weekend.
Amazing footage has emerged of the fight between Abdurashidov and Iranian professional boxer Bagher Faraji in Phuket, Thailand, on October 20.
The Iranian reportedly got the upper hand over Abdurashidov in the fight when the Russian lashed out with a vicious head kick late in the fourth round.
The kick landed on Faraji’s chin and neck, knocking him unconscious before he fell to the canvas.
Abdurashitov was disqualified for the illegal act, but still rejoiced about the fight on social media afterwards.
“So he made his debut in professional boxing,” Abdurashidov posted on Instagram (translated from Russian). “And a lifetime disqualification, I kicked out that kick with a machine gun!”
However, boxing fans are disgusted by the illegal action and have called for further sanctions against the Russian.

The undefeated Russian MMA prospect is facing a lifetime ban from boxing
‘He should be arrested for assault and battery, and never allowed to practice martial arts again. That’s so low,” one fan posted on X.
“He shouldn’t be allowed to fight after doing something like this,” another replied.
‘That’s an attack. What a loser,” said a third.
‘Unsportsmanlike behavior by someone who is not allowed to participate in competitions. It was a boxing match. Not kickboxing,” replied another.
Abdurashidov will likely receive a lifetime ban from professional boxing. It is unknown whether the distasteful act will have any consequences for his MMA career.
