Boxer Brock Jarvis splits with Jeff Fenech and stops going out with Aussie fight legend’s daughter

Talented Australian boxer Brock Jarvis has sensationally split with longtime trainer Jeff Fenech, revealing that he also recently split with Hall of Famer daughter Kayla.

Jarvis, who is considered by many to be one of the hottest young boxers in the country, has flown to Las Vegas to train and possibly move up to middleweight.

The 25-year-old Sydneysider says he parted ways with Fenech on ‘good terms’ and indicated the pair disagreed on what weight he should fight.

“Everything’s fine,” Jarvis said foxsports.com.au.

“Jeff and I broke up, but we don’t have any problems.

“We just don’t agree on the weight I want to fight.

“But otherwise we’re still on good terms.” I’m just doing my own thing.

‘I’m going abroad and trying something different. Go to America and see what it’s like there.’

Jarvis, who was sensationally knocked out in the first round against Aussie Liam Paro last year, does his featherweight and lightweight business.

A move to middleweight is a major career shift.

“This has been the hardest decision of my life,” Fenech said. “I’ve been with Brock since he was 16, so it was really hard.

“Not just because he dated my daughter, he was really like my son.

‘So this was s***, I’ve had sleepless nights.

Fenech owes his career in part to Jarvis’s uncle, former police officer and rugby league star Pat, who took him off the streets as a youngster and gave him leadership

“And I know it will hurt him too because of what we went through.

‘But what can I do? I can’t do something that I don’t believe is right.

“Brock is a good kid who works really hard, but I’m a realist and I’ve told him what I believe – that I think he’s gaining too much weight.

“But he’s told me what he believes and if you’re not on the same wavelength, [staying together] is the worst thing you can do.’

Jarvis says the breakup with Kayla (pictured) happened several months ago, but there’s no ‘bad blood’

“I respect the boy, he comes from a wonderful family, I am blessed to have this man with my daughter,” Fenech told Daily Mail Australia in 2021.

“The highlight would be the world title, but maybe in a few years he will be married to my daughter.”

“We’re not together anymore, no,” Jarvis said.
