Bournemouth full-back Max Aarons has traveled to Valencia to secure his move.

Mail Sport revealed this week that the former England U21 international could leave amid interest from foreign clubs, including LaLiga strugglers Valencia.

Talks have accelerated over the week and the former Norwich star will now travel to southern Spain to complete the deal.

The full-back, who joined the Cherries in 2023, has seen his first-team opportunities limited under Andoni Iraola this season, making just three appearances so far, including just one start.

And the Premier League club are willing to let the right-back leave the club in January.

Clubs in France, Italy and Spain had initially expressed interest in the 25-year-old. Ligue 1 club Lille was also among the interested teams.

Carlos Corberan’s Valencia side are in talks with the player over a loan deal that could become permanent for £7.5m

Aarons joined from Norwich in 2023 with a reputation as one of the best emerging full-backs in English football.

But his career has stalled on the south coast this season and a move to secure more regular first-team football could benefit all parties.

Bournemouth have already had a busy period in January, with Phillip Billing also leaving the Vitality Stadium to sign for Serie A giants Napoli.

The deal for the Danish midfielder is an official loan with an option to buy for around £8 million.
