Patson Daka could still leave Leicester in the closing hours of the transfer window, while Bournemouth maintain their interest in the Foxes striker.

Daka meets the requirements under boss Enzo Maresca and has been available all summer without a deal being made.

The Zambian forward has not featured at all for Leicester so far this season as the Foxes are currently top of the Championship table having won four out of four.

But negotiations with the Cherries continued on Friday afternoon, with both a loan and a permanent deal under discussion.

Patson Daka joined Leicester from RB Salzburg but has had a hot and cold time with the Foxes

Bournemouth are looking to bolster their attack by bringing in the 24-year-old striker

Daka joined Leicester in 2021 for £23 million from RB Salzburg, having scored 27 goals in just 28 league appearances to finish as the Austrian Bundesliga top scorer.

The 24-year-old was brought in to provide competition up front against Kelechi Iheanacho and veteran Jamie Vardy.

But after the arrival of striker Stephy Mavididi from Montpellier and just 15 goals in 74 appearances, Leicester are willing to let the Zambian go.

Bournemouth are also said to have made a bid for Leeds striker Luis Sinisterra.

The Colombian striker has been linked with a departure from Elland Road after being frozen for part of the season by manager Daniel Farke.

Sinisteraa has been involved in recent fixtures, securing Leeds’ 4-3 win over Ipswich Town last weekend, but Bournemouth are closing in on a deal for the striker.

Luis Sinisterra came over from the Dutch Feyenoord to Leeds in 2022, but is already moving
