Bournemouth ‘agree £10.25m deal for Roma’s Justin Kluivert’, with the winger ‘on the brink of signing a five-year contract’…as new Cherry boss Andoni Iraola approaches on his first signing
Bournemouth are reportedly set to sign Netherlands international Justin Kluivert from AS Roma for an initial fee of £9.5m, rising to £10.25m with add-ons.
The 24-year-old is poised to become the club’s first signing under new manager Andoni Iraola, following the Spaniard’s appointment on Monday.
Kluivert is expected to sign a five-year contract with the Premier League club and is finalizing personal terms transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The winger, who came through the ranks at Ajax like his father Patrick, has been on a footballing odyssey since leaving his youth club in 2018.
Despite being signed to Roma since then, he has spent several seasons at RB Leipzig, Nice and Valencia, failing to impress at any stop.

Dominic Solanke was the Cherries’ joint top scorer (7) as they impressively survived the fall
Cherries’ new boss Iraola hopes he can get the kind of form out of Kluivert that motivated Roma to pick him up for £15million as he gears up for the difficult task of winning over the fan base following his shock arrival .
The club was comfortably lifted to safety last season thanks to the efforts of Gary O’Neil, who initially took over as caretaker before being rewarded with the full-time gig after a string of impressive performances.
O’Neil’s surprise departure on Monday was accompanied by the almost equally shocking announcement that the club had lined up then Rayo Vallecano boss to take over the reins.
While in the Spanish capital, Iraola led the minnows back to the top flight in his first season before finishing back-to-back mid-table.
Kluivert is on the verge of joining a Bournemouth side whose top scorers were Dominic Solanke and Philip Billing, each scoring with seven goals, as the side only managed to surpass three other Premier League sides last season.
