Alecia said she used her mother-in-law’s jeweler to make her wedding ring for her wedding, but they “ruined” the bond so much that it caused a rift between the couple.
“He basically ruined my whole ringAnd then we had a big fight about that,” the caller said.
She added that her mother-in-law has a history of cutting family members out of her life over petty grudges.
“She doesn’t necessarily talk to anyone in her family. Like she cut off everyone in her family,” the woman said.
KIIS FM shock jock Kyle Sandilands said: ‘Oh, so she’s a bit of a stick in the mud.’
The caller confirmed, “Yes, she tends to hold grudges.”

They’re not the only wrestling family to visit The Kyle and Jackie O Show in recent weeks.
Kyle, 53, reached into his own pockets last week to help a Sydney woman who called his radio show.
The charity event took place when Kyle and co-star Jackie O Henderson played their daily $10,000 pop quiz, where listeners get $100 for every question they answer correctly or $10,000 for making a clean appearance.
The woman said she used her mother’s jeweler to make her wedding ring for her wedding, but the craftsman “ruined” the band so badly that it caused a rift between the mother-daughter duo.
A 23-year-old woman named Rhiannon called in to play and revealed that she was going to use the $10,000 to buy her struggling parents a new car.
An emotional Rhiannon said her father had just lost his job while building a new house.
“Their car is on its way,” she said through tears.
“Dad doesn’t have a job at the moment and mom doesn’t work much, so we’re struggling. We are building a new house. So I just want to do something nice and help them out.”
Unfortunately, Rhiannon was left disappointed as she only answered two questions correctly and walked away with only $200.
It comes after Kyle and Jackie O (both pictured) took home the award for Best Networked Show for Hour of Power at the ACRAs this weekend
However, after revealing that he can’t stand hearing women cry, Kyle went rogue and quit the show in violation of the competition’s rules.
He offered to take some of the stress off the struggling family by offering to personally buy them a car.
