That didn’t last long! Boston Bruins’ Trent Frederic drops Blue Jackets rival Lane Pederson with just ONE PUNCH in a super-fast NHL brawl…before being sidelined
The Bruins’ Trent Frederic made quick work of Lane Pederson Thursday night as the two battled in the second period.
Frederic had been at odds with the Blue Jackets’ Pederson who checked Boston captain Patrice Bergeron in the face early in the period.
While Pederson only received a two-minute penalty for the infraction, Frederic made sure he recovered soon enough.
As the two spun around each other, Frederic only needed a quick jab to Pederson’s chin to send Columbus to the ground.
Frederic’s teammates defended him for their captain as they pounded the boards after the quick fight concluded.
Trent Frederic wanted revenge on Lane Pederson for checking Patrice Bergeron to the face
Pederson was quickly dropped by Frederic with just a punch to the face.
Frederic landed his punch on Pederson’s chin, knocking him to the ground.
“That was a good shot,” Boston’s Tyler Bertuzzi said after the game, according to 98.5 The Sports Hub’s. anderson.
I do not know what else to say.
For Frederic, it was his seventh fight of the year, and only eight players in the entire NHL have fought more often this season.
The Bruins went on to win the evidently testy game 2-1 in overtime.
