Borussia Dortmund ‘have concerns about re-signing Jadon Sancho as they feel he doesn’t sleep enough due to playing video games late at night’, with the winger’s Man United future uncertain after being exiled from training

Borussia Dortmund are reluctant to sign Jadon Sancho from Manchester United due to concerns over his discipline, according to reports.

Sancho was banned from United training in recent weeks after claiming on social media earlier this month that he had been a ‘scapegoat’ by manager Erik ten Hag.

He faces an uncertain future at Old Trafford after being banned from United’s first-team facilities. Other clubs are closely monitoring his situation.

One club linked with Sancho is his former employer Dortmund, with whom he achieved great success between 2017 and 2021.

However, Dortmund have reservations about bringing him back to the club as they are concerned about his off-field activities dating back to his previous spell in Germany, as reported by Image.

The report states that Sancho’s discipline was often discussed behind the scenes at Dortmund, and senior figures at the club fear his return could upset the current squad.

Another potential stumbling block to a deal concerns the compensation involved.

United do not want Sancho on loan, but prefer a permanent sale. The asking price has been set at 60 million euros.

This is beyond Dortmund’s budget as the club are expected to have limited resources this winter after spending big on Marcel Sabitzer, Niklas Fullkrug and Felix Nmecha in the summer.

If they make good on their interest in Sancho, it appears they will have to reach a compromise with United to get a deal over the line.

Sancho kept the post as his pinned tweet for over a week before eventually deleting it, but refused to apologize to Ten Hag, resulting in him being kept out of the first team.

Several teammates have reportedly urged Sancho to apologize in a bid to save his career at Old Trafford, but he has yet to do so.

The 23-year-old winger deactivated his Instagram account on Tuesday morning due to his ongoing argument with Ten Hag.
