Boris Johnson insists Hamas and Putin are ‘morally identical’ today in his latest hard-hitting Mail column.

The ex-prime minister supports Joe Biden’s ‘big’ speech in which the American president linked the threat that the terrorist group and Russia pose to democracies.

And Mr Johnson is particularly pleased with Mr Biden’s willingness to take up the mantle of “world leadership”.

In a video teasing his column – which will appear in the Daily Mail tomorrow and on MailOnline tonight – Mr Johnson said: ‘Joe Biden gave a great speech last night outlining how Hamas and Putin’s forces are morally identical in their terrorist actions. methods, the attack they carry out on democracy.

In an address to the American people last night, Mr Biden linked the conflicts in Ukraine and Israel, arguing “we cannot and will not let terrorists like Hamas and tyrants like Putin win.”

The president warned that “chaos will spread” and implored Congress to approve an expected $100 billion in new funding — a call already resisted by Republicans.

Biden claimed in his 15-minute speech from the Oval Office that Vladimir Putin and the terrorist group “represent different threats” but share a common goal.
