dishonor Tennis ace Boris Becker has come under fire from creditors after he made a joke in TV commercial advertising replacement windows.

Three-time Wimbledon winner Becker, 55, was released from jail last December after being found guilty of concealing £2.5m worth of assets in a bankruptcy case.

In the ad, which will air this weekend on German television, he is seen driving to a luxurious villa in a Porsche and then throwing bills out of the building’s windows.

The 30-second commercial is for a German window company called Fensterversand and will air during a commercial break on a popular Saturday morning TV sports show.

With his tongue firmly in cheek, Becker tells viewers not to “throw their money out the window” as he highlights the options available with Fensterversand.

Disgraced tennis ace Boris Becker has come under fire from creditors after he made a tongue-in-cheek publicity in a TV commercial replacing windows.

The 30-second commercial is for a German window company called Fensterversand and will air during a commercial break on a popular Saturday morning TV sports show.

With his tongue firmly in cheek, Becker tells viewers not to “throw their money out the window” as he highlights the options available with Fensterversand.

It is not known how much he was paid for the commercial, but the twice-married athlete said the ad also had a moral message for his fans.

He explained: “Money is and was important to me, but the ad is, of course, satire and self-irony.”

‘It was important to me to make fun of myself and advise the younger generation not to imitate me.

“Not throwing money out the window is something we should all think about and so I thought it was an exciting idea and accepted the offer.”

However, Becker’s creditors reacted angrily, with one telling German media: ‘His time in prison was clearly too short. He lives in his own world and hides from reality.

“Hopefully he uses some of the money he’s getting from this commercial to pay off the creditors he owes.”

Fensterversand founder Philip Neuffer said: “For us, he is not just one of the best German ambassadors, and the ad will perfectly reach our target groups with his charm and likeable self-deprecation.”

The former Grand Slam and BBC commentator was jailed for two and a half years last April after being convicted on four counts under the Bankruptcy Act.

Becker appeared in the ad, which will air this weekend on German television.

The 30 second commercial is for a German window company called Fensterversand.

The first part of his sentence was served at HMP Wandsworth, which he described as a “shit hole” and where he was left in fear for his life.

He was then transferred to Huntercombe Prison in Nuffield, Oxfordshire, where he was surrounded by “murderers, drug dealers and people smugglers”.

Becker, who won Wimbledon for the first time as a teenager in 1985, was said to be worth £127m at the peak of his career, but said in a recent interview that money “goes fast” when divorced.

He paid £11m to his first wife, Barbara Feltus, when they separated in 2002 and is currently involved in divorce negotiations with his second wife, Lilly.

Becker was released in December after serving just under eight months and flew back to his native Germany, where he now lives and earlier this year participated as a commentator for the Australian Open.

On Saturday he will participate in the Golden Swing Celebrity golf tournament on the Spanish island of Majorca, where he once had a home.
