Boris Becker kept horses in his bedroom to hide them from collection agencies before being jailed for hiding assets and loans worth £2.5 million, his estranged wife claimed.
The three-time Wimbledon champion went bankrupt in 2017, around the time appraisers are said to have paid a visit to his Majorca mansion.
‘The man tries to enter the master bedroom, but Boris had hidden the horses. You have to pay taxes on it and he doesn’t,” his second wife Sharlely “Lilly” Becker revealed in a new revealing documentary.
“You see the funny side of the story, because you walk into the bedroom and there’s a horse. I’m sorry, that’s funny.’
Becker was later sentenced to 30 months in prison, eight of which he spent behind bars in the UK before being deported to Germany.
Lilly previously said her ex-husband’s punishment “ruined his reputation,” and has criticized him for neglecting his family, even claiming she and their young son had to sleep on a couch after they split.

Becker’s second wife, Sharlely ‘Lilly’ Becker, made the revelations in a new tell-all docuseries
Her latest revelations about the couple’s tumultuous relationship will be made in the upcoming ITVX documentary, Boris Becker: The Rise & Fall, later this month.
The docuseries tells the inside story of how one of the greatest sports stars of all time, who at 17 was the youngest ever Wimbledon winner, ended up in Wandsworth Prison after avoiding debt.
It also reveals how the grand slam player blew a whopping £100 million off his playboy lifestyle, The Sun reports.
Lilly, who married Becker in 2009 and divorced him in 2018, says in the new documentary that she stood by him during his money problems and alleged affairs.
“He’s sweet, kind and funny. But he is also arrogant and he is a liar. All the women and girls and gossip, I was insecure,” she says.
Speaking to German newspaper Bild, she described him as a “narcissistic egotist” and claimed he was “constantly” unfaithful throughout their relationship.
The 47-year-old said: “I left him in 2018 and he won’t forgive me.
“You don’t leave a Boris Becker behind. Since then he wants to destroy me.
“I didn’t have a penny in cash. I didn’t know where to go.
“We spent the first night on a bench in a café.”
Becker won three Wimbledon championships during his time as a player, including his first when he was just 17

She also described in the new ITVX series when she found out in 2008 that Becker was engaged to his manager’s daughter – a younger woman named Alessandra Meyer-Wölden – shortly after their divorce.
“I woke up, my phone rang,” Ms. Becker said.
‘I suddenly checked. This woman is younger, beautiful. That was devastating.
“I’ve never felt so ugly, old, and unwanted.”
She said she decided to go to Ibiza where she tried all the drugs to forget about him.
She said: ‘I’ve tried every mushroom, every alcohol, every drug in Ibiza.
“I couldn’t get drunk enough to forget about this man.”

The tennis star’s engagement to Meyer-Wolden fell through soon after, with Lilly taking him back and the couple tied the knot in 2009.
They later separated in 2018, but remain married, and Lilly says she is now waiting for a divorce.
When asked why she chose to appear in the documentary, Lilly said, “It’s a perfect ending. A farewell to my life with Boris Becker. I’ve learned my lesson.
“After the documentary, I never want to talk about him in public again. I just want a divorce so I can finally enjoy my life. Enough is enough!’
Becker and Lilly share a son, Amadeus. Lilly claimed she and Amadeus had to sleep on a couch after she divorced Becker
She told Bild: “He’s afraid he can’t influence the content of this documentary.
‘He is used to being able to direct and manipulate others. But I will not be muzzled, even if he comes after me again with his lawyers.
“I left him because I couldn’t take his lies and his bad character anymore.
“I didn’t get any answers to my questions…he just stopped treating me right. He was bad to me.’
Becker, 55, has not yet commented on the interview or the upcoming two-part documentary, but German media have reported that he has instructed his lawyers to investigate the series.
He has previously claimed that his wife’s claims were “not always true or legally correct.”
Boris Becker: The Rise & Fall will air on ITVX from July 13.
