Border Patrol Union ridicules Biden over Texas visit with joke itinerary of his day along with picture of president sleeping in sun lounger – after saying trip was purely about ‘politics’

The National Border Patrol Council has brazenly mocked President Joe Biden, days after he visited the southern border.

The Council, the official union of the US Border Patrol, funded and managed by Border Patrol agents, joked that the president’s travel schedule would have been extremely tiring for the 81-year-old.

“Aboard AF1, take a nap. Wake up in a place called Brownsville. Read the big teleprompter message: “It’s all Trump’s fault.”

‘Board AF1, ask who the people in green uniforms were, told them they were “tying up” illegal aliens, expressed their disgust and took a nap. Wake up, call a lid, go to the beach, take a nap,” the union tweeted, along with a photo of Biden napping on the sand.

Of course, Biden didn’t actually go to the beach after his trip to Texas, but it did make for a humorous post. The photo was taken in July 2023.

The head of the council on Monday blasted Biden for what he called blatant electioneering, accusing him of only deciding to visit the southern border with Mexico because he is behind in the polls.

Brandon Judd said the president, who visited Brownsville, Texas, on Thursday, didn’t even go to the right place

“He’s had three years to do something,” Judd, who represents 17,000 Border Patrol agents, told DailyMail.com.

“And now that he knows that he is being hit very hard in the polls by the crisis he has caused, he is now crossing the line.”

The Border Patrol union regularly mocks the president for illegal immigration.

The organization wrote on X on Friday: ‘Wasn’t it Biden who encouraged people from all over the world to ‘cross the line’? Didn’t Biden immediately invalidate all the successful Trump EOs that kept our border in check?

“Didn’t he publicly and viciously accuse BP officers of criminal attacks and then tell the world that those people will pay,” and that it was all a fabrication? Has he apologized or taken responsibility for any of it, or asked for forgiveness from the victims of some of the millions of illegal aliens he imported into this country?”

This week marked Biden’s second visit to the border as president. He traveled to El Paso last January after local officials cleared out the migrant camps.

During his trip to Brownsville, Biden spoke about the bipartisan immigration bill that failed to pass the Senate, placing full blame on former President Trump.

Republicans have expressed opposition to the bill, which they say doesn’t do enough.

“The majority of Democrats and Republicans in both houses support this legislation until someone came along and said don’t do that, it will benefit the incumbent. That’s a great way to get business in America on such a serious issue,” Biden said while in Brownsville.

In Brownsville, border crossings have fallen dramatically in recent months after Republican Governor Greg Abbott installed miles of wire fencing as part of Operation Lone Star, which he signed into law in December.

Internal CBP data for all Border Patrol stations in February – obtained by Fox News – shows that there were approximately 462 apprehensions in the Brownsville area, which amounts to about 17 per day.

That makes Brownsville, Texas, the 29th busiest Border Patrol station of the month. The number one station was Three Points in the Tucson, Arizona sector, which recorded more than 13,900 apprehensions in February.

Brownsville could give Biden a platform to argue that the number of illegal border crossings has dropped dramatically, as it was the busiest corridor for illegal border crossings for nine years.

But the Republicans have called it something else: a ‘photo-op.’

Speaker Mike Johnson accused Biden of just going for the optics.

“Brownsville is the 29th hot spot. Why would he go to 29th? Because he doesn’t really want to see reality,” he said Thursday.

At a Republican leadership press conference in the House of Representatives, many of the leaders repeatedly accused Biden of a “photo op.”

“President Biden is going to the border for a photo today,” Majority Leader Steve Scalise said. “He has the authority today to solve this problem he created.”

The White House has said it is Republicans in the House of Representatives who are turning the border into a “political stunt.”

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre pushed back against Republican Party criticism of Biden’s trip, noting that it was Republicans in the House of Representatives who refused to vote on a bipartisan border security bill after Trump resigned had spoken out against it.
