The strongest support for Donald Trump in New York City comes from the boroughs of Staten Island and Queens.
A Saturday New York Times/Siena College poll doesn’t necessarily yield good results for the former president ahead of his rally at Madison Square Garden, but does reveal that Vice President Kamala Harris is lagging behind the way Joe Biden performed in 2020.
Overall, among likely voters in New York City, Harris is ahead of Trump by 66 to 27 percent.
But that’s 11 points behind President Biden, who earned 76 percent of the vote in New York, compared to Trump’s 23 percent in the last presidential election.

When the results are broken down by borough, Trump led in one of the five: Staten Island. Forty-nine percent of registered voters in the right-wing district support Trump, compared to 39 percent for Harris.
Meanwhile, Harris’ strongest support among likely voters is in Manhattan, where 77 percent of voters say they plan to cast their ballots for the Democratic hopeful.
Among likely voters in the Big Apple, 7 percent said they are undecided.
The results were released on Saturday – the day before Trump descended on the city for a massive rally at Manhattan’s famed Madison Square Garden.
Although New York is a decidedly blue state, the city is still Trump’s original birthplace and where the billionaire started his business empire decades ago.
“New York is the media capital of the world,” Trump campaign adviser Tim Murtaugh told DailyMail.com when describing the former president’s choice of location.
He added: “There will likely be more television cameras at this meeting than any to date, and it will be broadcast live to all battleground states.”
Murtaugh explained that the MSG meeting will resemble Trump’s political homecoming to the Empire State where his family is from and his businessman persona was born.

A stacked lineup of guests and speakers are expected to grace the stage or appear around the MSG arena on Sunday.
This includes members of the Republican congressional leadership such as Scalise, House Speaker Mike Johnson and GOP Conference Chair Elise Stefanik.
