Bombshell new poll shows major shift in race between Trump and Kamala after debate

Recent polls show Vice President Kamala Harris with a five percentage point lead over Donald Trump among registered voters after the presidential debate.

The two candidates met for the first time Tuesday during the ABC News debate in Philadelphia and exchanged words for more than an hour and a half about abortion, the economy and foreign policy.

A poll by DailyMail.com found that Harris won the debate and appeared the most presidential, while Trump was considered the most aggressive.

Now, new polls from Yahoo News/YouGov shows the vice president with a five-point lead over Trump among registered voters in a head-to-head race.

A poll of 1,755 US adults conducted between September 11 and 13 found that 50 percent of people said they would vote for Harris, while 45 percent said they would vote for Trump.

Harris trailed Trump by nine points among independent voters — 35 percent to 44 percent — ahead of the debate. The new poll now has her leading that bloc by 10 points, 47 percent to 37 percent.

While national polls show Harris leading, a new poll in the crucial swing state of Michigan points to warning signs for the vice president as he seeks to secure the so-called Democratic “blue wall.”

According to InsiderAdvantage’s poll, Donald Trump has a one-point lead in the state.

The GOP candidate is at 49 percent and Harris is at 48 percent, indicating an extremely tight race in the state that Democrats must win to take the White House.

The InsiderAdvantage poll was conducted among 800 likely voters on September 11 and 12, following the presidential debate.

Trump confirmed in a lengthy post on Truth Social that there will be no rerun of the vice presidential debate.

Trump confirmed there will be no debate rematch with the vice president

After publicly suppressing calls for another debate with the vice president, Trump unequivocally rejected the idea on Thursday.

“When a boxer loses a fight, the first words he says are, ‘I WANT A REMATCH.’ Polls clearly show that I won Tuesday night’s debate against Comrade Kamala Harris, the radical left-wing Democratic candidate, and she immediately called for a second debate,” Trump wrote.

“They and Crooked Joe have destroyed our country, with millions of criminals and mentally ill people pouring into the United States, totally unchecked and uncontrolled, and with inflation that is bankrupting our middle class,” he added.

The former president continued: “Everybody knows this, and all the other problems that Kamala and Joe have caused. It was discussed extensively in the first debate with Joe and the second debate with Comrade Harris.”

“KAMALA NEEDS TO FOCUS ON WHAT SHE SHOULD HAVE BEEN DOING FOR THE PAST NEARLY FOUR YEARS. THERE WILL BE NO THIRD DEBATE!” Trump concluded.
