Bolton Wanderers won the Papa Johns Trophy after beating Plymouth Argyle 4-0 at Wembley on Sunday.

The Trotters got off to a dream start in London, with Kyle Dempsey heading in a Declan John corner after just four minutes, to give Ian Evett’s side the lead.

He was at the center of the action just six minutes later when he delivered Dion Charles an impressive cross into the center of the box, and the striker made no mistake putting his team two goals ahead.

They struck again just after half time with Elias Kachunga capitalizing on a Plymouth mistake, running towards goal to find the top corner.

And they weren’t done yet, with Gethin Jones, one of the smaller players on the pitch rallying to head in to form the goal-scoring quartet for Bolton.

It is the first major trophy Bolton has won since 1997, when they were crowned champions of the English Second Division.
