Body positive influencer Karina Irby slams trolls over ‘heartbreaking’ bullying: ‘People suck’
Karina Irby has criticised internet trolls who made derogatory comments about her online persona.
The 34-year-old body positive influencer shared a lengthy rant about online “judgments” via Instagram Stories on Wednesday.
Karina revealed in a photo of herself next to a body of water that she ‘encountered a series of horrible, judgemental comments about me last night.’
The owner of popular swimwear brand Moana Bikini, who often produces content in skimpy bikinis and underwear, complained about the negative reactions she received online.
“The internet sucks. People suck. I know I’ve let people down in the past, but I always do my best, for myself and others,” she wrote.
The Gold Coast influencer also claimed that “putting your life online” is one of the hardest things she’s ever done.
Karina indicated that it is not good for her health to post online, but she continues anyway.
“The constant criticism, attacks and bullying I have had to endure here is heartbreaking.”

Karina ended her lengthy tirade to her 1.1 million followers with a message of mindfulness and consideration.
“People need to practice being more open-minded. If someone behaves a certain way or does something you don’t agree with, think about WHY they did that.
“Be kind. You never know what someone has been through or is going through,” the bikini model concluded.
This came after the body positive influencer shared a shocking collage of the hateful messages she received over her decision not to have children.
In June, Karina posted a photo of herself and her husband Ryan having fun on the beach.
The model, who regularly talks to her 1.1 million followers about her love for her childless lifestyle, posted screenshots of some of the hurtful comments she’s received from haters.
“When you are old, there is no one who will take care of you like your children. That is my worst nightmare, spending my last years alone and dying,” one person wrote.
“I can’t imagine leaving nothing behind,” a second person added, while a third user noted, “This goes against everything our species has fought for.”

Other comments were just as mean. One wrote: ‘On behalf of all humanity, thank you for not bringing more weirdos into the world.’
Karina didn’t mince her words when she told us what she thought of the comments.
“We owe nothing to the human population,” she said.
“Our choice is not to follow a ‘trend’. The hate and threats I have received have astounded me.
Karina is best known for her posts about body positivity and the empire she built selling naughty bikinis.
In 2011, she founded her swimwear brand Moana Bikini, which has since become a household name among women across Australia.
