Body found in home at Adelaide suburb of Cowandilla

A man has been found dead and a suspect arrested following an alleged murder in Adelaide.

South Australia Police responded to a series of alarms going off at businesses on Henley Beach Road in the western suburb of Torrensville about 12.30pm on Tuesday.

While checking the stores, officers found a 32-year-old man with a leg injury reportedly sustained during the burglaries.

“Inquiries into this man led police to a nearby home in Cowandilla where they found the body of a 60-year-old man,” an SA Police spokesperson said.

‘The police assume that the victim is a resident of the address and that both men are known to each other.’

Officers remain at the scene and keep the injured man under police guard while he receives treatment for his leg injury.

“It is expected that the man will be charged with murder and other related property crimes once his medical treatment is completed,” the police spokesperson said.

Anyone with information that could assist the investigation is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
