Human remains have been found on the side of a highway in the hunt for missing Minnesota mother Madeline Kingsbury, 26, as the father of her two children is arrested on suspicion of murder.

Adam Fravel, 29, was taken into custody and booked on suspicion of first-degree murder, according to charges listed on the The Winona County Detention Center website, and is being held at the Winona County Jail.

Police said they found human remains in Mabel, Minnesota, “using information generated during the Madeline Kingsbury investigation.”

“That’s why law enforcement has arrested Adam Fravel on probable grounds related to her disappearance.

“The Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner’s Office is working as quickly as possible to positively identify the remains.”

Madeline has been missing for almost two months now. It is the first time that charges have been filed in the case.
