Horror as a lifeless body is found in a car in Melbourne: homicide detectives start an urgent investigation

A murder investigation is underway and a second crime scene has been identified nearby after a man was found in a car on a suburban street.

Police were called to Vaucluse Boulevard in Taylors Hill in Melbourne’s northwest late Sunday evening and found the man in the car with serious injuries.

He could not be brought back to life and died on the spot, despite desperate efforts by paramedics to save him.

Detectives set up a crime scene when a murder investigation was launched.

Vaucluse Boulevard remains cordoned off Monday morning as forensic officers search the crime scene.

A SES tent has been placed over a BMW with the lights still on.

A second crime scene 500 yards away, where a Mazda vehicle appears to have crashed on a one-way road, has also been set up.

Police are investigating whether the two scenes are related.

No arrests have been made.
