A body has been found in a pond at an exclusive Sydney golf club.
NSW police were called to The Lakes Golf Club in Eastlakes, Sydney, on Wednesday morning after golfers found a body in the pond next to Wentworth Avenue.
Officers have cordoned off a crime scene as police launch an investigation into the grim find.
Golfers have made a grim discovery at The Lakes Golf Club in southern Sydney after a body was found in a pond next to Wentworth Avenue.
Polair also arrived on the scene to take aerial photos of the crime scene in the area.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted NSW Police for comment.
According to the golf club’s website, The Lakes is one of Australia’s ‘pre-eminent private clubs and one of Australia’s premier major tournament venues’.
The prestigious club was founded in 1928 and has hosted the Australian Open Golf major seven times.
