Jesse Baird and Luke Davies: New lead for detectives in search for Channel 10 presenter and boyfriend’s bodies
Police divers are searching a series of dams on a private property in the NSW Southern Tablelands region for the bodies of Jesse Baird and his friend Luke Davies.
NSW Police Senior Constable Beau Lamarre-Condon was charged with two counts of murder after he allegedly used his police pistol to shoot dead Mr Baird, 26, and his partner, Mr Davies, 29, at a house in Paddington in the east of Sydney last Monday.
Police have set up a crime scene at a dam near Hazelton Road in Bungonia, about 185km south-west of Sydney, not far from Goulburn.
Daily Mail Australia understands the area came into focus after police received intelligence that Lamarre-Condon was in the area in a white Toyota HiAce rental van in the days after the alleged murders.
Divers are expected to search a series of dams on the Hazelton Road property and search neighboring bushland for any signs of evidence.
The rural road is lined with hectares, with the search area just meters away from a sheep and olive farm.

“Divers from Marine Area Command were called to the scene and assisted with a search of the site today,” a NSW Police spokesperson said on Sunday evening.
The search resumed at first light Monday morning.
Divers had previously been seen searching a waterway near Lambton, Newcastle.
Police Chief Karen Webb told the Kyle and Jackie O Show on Monday morning that the dams were not the only area searched.
‘That is not necessarily the only search area. The whereabouts of the bodies is not definitive.
“No one has come forward to help us locate the bodies.”
The commissioner also addressed a report that Jesse Baird had seen a shadowy figure at the foot of his bed in the weeks before his death.
Ms Webb said: ‘It doesn’t appear this has been reported to the police.’
Lamarre-Condon, Baird’s former partner, reportedly refused to tell investigators where the bodies are located.
Police are relying on CCTV, toll road payments and mobile GPS data to piece together events in the days after the alleged double murder.

Police were accompanied by homicide detectives
It is believed Lamarre-Condon also traveled to Cronulla, Newcastle and Grays Point in the days after the alleged murders.
According to court documents, Baird and Davies were allegedly murdered by Lamarre-Condon at Baird’s terrace house in Paddington between 12.01pm and 5.30pm on Monday.
The shooting is said to have taken place just hours after they were last seen alive during a pre-Mardi Gras party at the Beresford Hotel in Surry Hills on Sunday.
Neighbors said they heard arguing from the Paddington house early on Monday morning.
Later Monday evening, Lamarre-Condon rented a white van from Mascot and allegedly used it to dispose of the couple’s bodies, police said.
A former NSW Police detective revealed why the gunshots believed to have killed the couple may not have been heard by neighbours.
“There are a number of reasons why at the moment the police do have that evidence and it’s not being released,” Peter Moroney told Sunrise.
“But if it is assumed that the gun was fired there and no one heard it, there are a number of hypotheses around that, in that the gun was muffled.
‘It can only be dampened by so much of what would be available in a domestic household. It might have been covered by loud music… it’s a question that still needs to be answered.”
Lamarre-Condon has been charged with two counts of murder and is in custody at the Silverwater Correctional Complex while his case remains in court.

It emerged on Sunday that Lamarre-Condon allegedly sent decoy texts from Mr Baird’s phone after he allegedly murdered the Channel 10 presenter.
Lamarre-Condon was previously in a relationship with Mr Baird but had split in recent months, with Mr Baird announcing his relationship with his new boyfriend in recent weeks.
Family and friends of Mr Baird told police they were deeply concerned about Lamarre-Condon’s behavior in the lead-up to the Channel 10 presenter’s death.
During the course of the investigation, police learned that Lamarre-Condon had bombarded Mr Baird with phone calls and text messages for months after their relationship ended.
Chief Inspector Doherty said there had been no ‘w’Reporting flags or complaints made to the police since the couple separated, but which have happened since in the course of their investigation “It has been documented that there was concerning behavior alleged by family and friends.”
Lamarre-Condon once rose to fame as a celebrity hunter and was photographed by stars such as Taylor Swift, Kim Kardashian, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Dua Lipa and Harry Styles.
He did not apply for bail at his hearing on Friday and will appear again on April 23.
On Sunday, NSW Police Commissioner Karen Webb issued a heartfelt statement calling on the community to “be patient” as police continue their investigation.
She also said she was saddened and shocked by the deaths.
“I would like to express my sincere condolences to the families and friends of Luke Davies and Jesse Baird. It is difficult to understand the sadness and pain of their loss,” she said.
Police sources said Lamarre-Condon used Mr Baird’s phone to text his housemates after killing the couple to fake an upcoming interstate move.
“I recognize that this week’s events are distressing for many and I share the sadness and shock at the alleged nature of Luke and Jesse’s deaths.
“I understand there are many unanswered questions and while I cannot comment on the matter in court, I can reassure Luke and Jesse’s loved ones, and the people of New South Wales, that we are working around the clock to provide those answers to find.’
She also called on anyone with information to contact police.
