Bodhi Mani Risby-Jones: Extraordinary claim from naked Aussie tradie over rampage that almost saw him imprisoned in Indonesia
A Queensland man has claimed he had booze in his drink when he went on a naked rampage in Indonesia.
Bodhi Mani Risby-Jones, 23, was locked up in an Indonesian prison on April 27 after being accused by police of drunkenly attacking several people, including one man who suffered serious leg injuries.
The 23-year-old was accused of running naked and drunk through a conservative Indonesian beach village, allegedly screaming and smashing into a local coffee shop before trying to grab a motorcycle and throw it at the fisherman, causing leg injuries.
Footage of the wild incident shows locals in the village arresting a citizen and tying him up.
He was released on May 26 after a compensation deal with the fisherman's family, which avoided the case in court and allowed Risby-Jones to avoid a possible five-year prison sentence, which was the maximum sentence.

He was locked up in an Indonesian prison on April 27 (pictured) before a “nearly $100,000 operation…” to release him and return home on May 26.
To round out his eventful 2023, Mr Risby-Jones took to social media on Sunday and vowed to finally speak his truth about the incident abroad.
“What a journey,” he begins the Facebook post.
'For those who don't know the truth about what happened to me while surfing – in short, I was picked up on Simeulue Island Aceh, North Sumatra.
'An unfortunate series of events led to me losing myself to a gang of about forty locals and injuring one of them.'
Mr Risby-Jones said he woke up the next morning in prison, where he had spent six weeks.
'I lost almost 10kg in two weeks due to lack of hygiene and stress… the whole operation to get me home cost almost $100,000.'
'I faced five to seven years in a third world prison. When I came back, I refused to reveal the true story to the media because I wanted to move on to the next story.”
He said he wasn't looking for pity, but was “comfortably releasing the truth” and moving on to 2024.
The 23-year-old from Noosa, Queensland, claimed he was enriched before “losing myself to a gang of… 40 locals”, and later said he had lost 10kg in two weeks in jail.
After his release, a photo emerged of the 23-year-old grinning with a thumbs up as he posed with a group of Indonesian police officers.
Two of the officers have their hands spread out in 'shakkas', while another brazenly shields her face from the camera.
He also held a press conference where he apologized for his actions.
“I am very relieved and happy,” the 23-year-old said at the time.
'I fooled myself and it was publicly exposed worldwide.
“I want to thank the prosecutors for their help, I want to thank the police and everyone who helped us close the deal so I could go home.”
The incident took place in the very conservative province of Aceh, on the northwestern tip of the island of Sumatra.
It is the only province in Indonesia where Sharia law applies and drinking alcohol is prohibited.
The local fisherman who injured Risby-Jones, Edi Ron (pictured), required at least 50 stitches in his foot after being knocked off his motorcycle by the Australian
Fisherman Edi Ron, who was allegedly knocked off his motorcycle by Mr Risby-Jones, needed at least 50 stitches in his foot, according to Indonesian police chief Jatmiko.
The Noosa local's alleged actions reportedly caused an angry mob to threaten to burn down his property.
Mr Risby-Jones had reportedly drank vodka before undressing in his room at the Moon Beach Resort sometime after midnight.
Local police claimed he left his room still naked and attacked a security guard who tried to stop him before he allegedly caused chaos in the streets.
Mr Risby-Jones returned home on June 12.
