Bob Arum has brutally told Anthony Joshua his boxing career is over following his defeat to Daniel Dubois.
The Watford-born fighter failed in his quest to become a three-time champion after being knocked out in the fifth round by the 27-year-old domestic rival in front of 96,000 fans at Wembley.
Dubois retained his IBF heavyweight title with an impressive victory, knocking down his challenger four times.
Hall of fame promoter Arum, who has been in the business for over seventy years, sees no way back for Joshua when he proposed a new opponent for the Brit.

“I just think AJ has been through a lot of wars. And I think it’s over for both him and Wilder.
“Maybe they can fight each other, that would be good.”
Joshua was adamant he would not retire in the wake of the loss, and his promoter Eddie Hearn has already started drawing up a shortlist of opponents for his return to the ring.
Speak with iFLTVHearn revealed that Tyson Fury, Deontay Wilder and a rematch with Dubois are all under consideration.
Hearn had initially stated that Joshua had a rematch clause to face Dubois again while being interviewed in the ring on Saturday night.
Wilder is a fighter who has long been linked to Joshua, having held the WBC title between 2015 and 2020.
The teams of Joshua and Wilder were never able to agree on terms for an undisputed showdown before Tyson Fury stripped Wilder of his title.

Wilder has lost his last two fights against Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang and turns 39 next month, but is considering a return to the ring and a fight with Joshua could be appealed.
If the fight happens, the winner could set their sights on one last attempt to become champion again, while the loser would likely sail off into the sunset.
