The referees were so confused by teammates Jalen Williams and Jaylin Williams during the Oklahoma City Thunder's game against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday that the game was delayed.

During the third quarter of the match, the referees noticed that their scorebook did not match that of either team due to the Williams couple, who are not related.

The scorebooks of Oklahoma City and Atlanta showed Jalen Williams with two personal fouls, while the referees wrote him off with three.

The discrepancy took the officials more than 10 minutes to get to the root of the problem, reviewing film from the second quarter to see which, if any, foul count was correct.

At the end of the review, Jalen Williams was held to three personal fouls and both teams' scorebooks were changed.

Both Williams's carry single digits that are even numbers.

Both were drafted in 2022, with Jaylin Williams being a second-round pick out of Arkansas, while Jalen Williams was selected No. 12 overall out of Santa Clara.

The Williams duo are each playing consistently on a deep Thunder team that lost 141-138 to the Hawks on Wednesday.

The Thunder are clearly close, as cameras captured the team huddled and bobbing their heads to the arena music.

Jaylin Williams did not start for the Thunder Wednesday and played 15 minutes from the bench

Jalen Williams had 21 points and six assists in 35 minutes in the loss to the Atlanta Hawks

Jalen Williams scored 21 points in 35 minutes of action, while Jaylin Williams collected just three points in 15 minutes against the Hawks.

The Thunder do have a third player with the same last name, Kenrich Williams, who did not play Wednesday.

This probably won't be the last time teams confuse Jaylin Williams and Jalen Williams.
