Superfan’s Bluey theory suggests Bingo has chronic health issues: ‘It’s so obvious’

  • A Bluey superfan has pointed out a possible underlying health issue
  • Many are convinced by the theory

A Bluey fan is making waves after pointing out a certain health issue that may be plaguing the Heelers.

An avid viewer, Michael recently pointed out that several episodes and storylines indicate that Bluey’s little sister Bingo has a serious autoimmune disease.

The theory has been circulating since the show’s first season, when Bingo was mysteriously hospitalized without explanation in “Bumpy and the Wise Old Wolfhound.”

Many believe the reason behind the little pup’s hospital visit is that Bingo suffers from celiac disease or severe gluten intolerance.

There are also other examples and references to gluten-free foods peppered throughout the show.

Popular Australian children’s show Bluey is loved by adults and children alike – but one fan is making waves after pointing out a certain health issue that may be plaguing the Heelers

For example, in Daddy Dropoff (Season 2, Episode 8), we see Dad Bandit preparing Bluey and Bingo’s lunchboxes as he sorts food into “gluten-free” and “gluten-free” sections.

In episode 27 of the same season, Bingo’s lunchbox is revealed to be green – the same container that was filled with gluten-free foods.

Another scene shows Bandit and Bingo shopping and specifically picking out several gluten-free options, such as almond flour.

But Michael also pointed out several inconsistencies with the health subplot.

“If you have celiac disease, you really need a clean surface to prepare food so there’s no cross-contamination,” he said in the video, pointing out that Bandit’s preparation of the food certainly wasn’t completely safe.

“The show is inconsistent about it,” he added, drawing attention to season 1, episode 20, where Bingo eats a hot dog with a bun.

“I don’t think she has celiac disease, but she may have a gluten intolerance,” the Bluey superfan finally concluded.

Several others shared their own Bluey theories.

“I think it’s possible the school is gluten free because some kids have allergies,” one man wrote on Reddit. ‘Many schools are now also nut-free.’

A second commented, “Bandit went out of his way to mention it as a reminder to himself — he’d know for sure if one of his kids got sick.” It’s probably a school ban.’

“Children love to share food,” one woman wrote. “My class was not allowed to bring dairy to school because a child was allergic – and children can’t always tell what gluten is in it.”

“I always thought Bingo had celiac disease because of the hospital,” said another. “I have a cousin who has celiac disease, and she was in and out of the hospital a lot when she was little while they were trying to figure out what the problem was.”
