A bloodied Russian soldier killing a Ukrainian fighter in a knife fight has been photographed for the first time since the horrific clash.

The man, believed to be named Tuta, was seen dismembering the Ukrainian near the ruins of a destroyed building.

But in an incredible moment captured on bodycam footage, the pair emotionally paid their respects to each other as the injured Ukrainian fighter breathed his last.

The Russian soldier knelt next to the dying Ukrainian as he sent a final message to his mother.

Now photos and videos of the Russian fighter, believed to be from the Sakha Republic in northern Siberia, are circulating on social media.

There have been calls from Russian war channels to distinguish the soldier for his bravery.

The dramatic bodycam footage filmed by the Ukrainian shows how the two men open fire on each other for the first time.

The Ukrainian then manages to reach his opponent and grabs the Russian’s automatic rifle, sparking a struggle that results in the Putin fighter pulling out his knife and viciously cutting his rival in the thigh.

The two fighters can be heard hurling insults at each other, with the Ukrainian warrior angrily telling his enemy: ‘You came to [invade] my homeland’.

The Russian soldier wins the knife fight and the Ukrainian fighter falls to the ground after being cut.

The unknown, defeated warrior, now losing blood, then sends a message to his mother as he breathes his last.

“That’s it, Mom. Goodbye’.

The Russian soldier then approaches the wounded fighter and kneels next to him.

“You cut open my entire body,” the Ukrainian fighter shouts.

As he lies wounded, the Ukrainian pleads that the Russian let him die alone.

But he greets his enemy and says: ‘I want to die myself. Thank you. You were the best fighter in the world.

The footage is said to have come from Trudove, in the Zaporizhia region of Ukraine, and was said to have been filmed in the autumn but has only now been released.

The Russian fighter – also wounded in the battle – retreats and tells him: ‘Goodbye.’

The Russian’s knife is clearly visible as he retreats, blood on his face.

The defeated Ukrainian then pulls the pin of his grenade in an attempt to kill himself.

Russian accounts of the incident claim that the grenade explosion further injured the Ukrainian; his hand was blown off, but he was still alive.

He then told the Russian to ‘finish me’.
