BlockBUSTED: Prince William was ‘banned from his local video shop at university for returning films too late – as his VERY raunchy favourite rental is revealed’

Prince William was reportedly banned from his local video store during his college years for returning movies late.

The future monarch was banned from a local video store in his former home of St. Andrews in Fife, Scotland, after failing to pay his fines.

An ex-shop assistant, known only as Zoe, revealed that the geography student often visited the store in search of fun films.

But in a time long before the streaming era, the Prince of Wales ‘regularly’ returned films late, resulting in fines, The sun reports.

The aide told the publication: ‘We used to serve Prince William quite regularly at the video store in St Andrews before everything went digital.

‘His DVDs were always late and his bodyguards would never pay the fines.

‘We would end up having to, as a matter of course, banish Prince William until he paid up, which he always ended up doing. He’s very nice.’

Although the former store clerk directed the film, which also stars Cuba Gooding Jr. “horrible,” she said William had reportedly rented the film “a few times.”

The 2002 comedy, starring Vivica A. Fox, Horatio Sanz and Roselyn Sánchez, tells the story of two friends who accidentally end up on a gay cruise.

It is not known whether Princess Kate also watched the heir’s favorite film while they studied together at Scottish university from 2001 to 2005.

Prince William and Kate met in 2001 during their first week as psychology students at Scottish university – before she later switched to studying art history.

Their relationship started as a friendship and then grew into something more in 2002, after the duo moved in together next to two other friends during their second year.

In 2023, it was previously announced that Prince William was a ‘big fan’ of Lord of the Rings.

In February that year, both the Prince and Princess of Wales were invited to an exclusive late-night tour of the Rings of Power studios at Buttersteep Rise, Ascot.

The royal couple also brought their children – a then nine-year-old Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who was seven at the time – to meet the show’s cast.

Actor Martin Freeman, who played Bilbo Baggins in the Hobbit films, revealed that the future monarch was a big fan of the fantasy series and JRR Tolkien.

Freeman said, “He knew all the facts about Middle Earth.”

A source said The sun: ‘William is a big fan of the films, so he seized the opportunity [to visit the studios].

‘They met the main cast members and were shown around the set.’

‘It was all hugely exciting for George and Charlotte, who loved looking at the props and how everything was laid out.

‘Louis stayed home because it was a bit late at night for him. They were escorted by security and it was very quiet. It was also a great honor for the cast.’
