Blizzard announces not one but three new World of Warcraft expansions as it unveils The Worldsoul Sega
Chris Metzen, executive creative director of Warcraft, announced this on stage at Blizzcon The World Soul Sagaan overarching story event for World of Warcraft that won’t include the next expansion, but there are three more coming to the game.
Here are the three new expansions and what Metzen revealed about them. These will be released in the coming years, although Metzen also explained that Blizzard is looking at new ways to release these expansions to players, something the team isn’t ready to talk about yet.
The first expansion, World of Warcraft The war within, players will descend into the heart of Azeroth itself. Through this you will interact with the Earths and the Nerubians. Players will be called upon to deliver a royal defeat to the forces of evil that may bring this about. Classic World of Warcraft.
The second part of Tthe Worldsoul Saga is World of Warcraft midnight where players return to Quel’Thalas as the forces of the void seek to darken the Sunwell, unite the scattered Elven tribe, and wage a great battle with the shadows. Aptly epic, but trilogies usually consist of three parts, and as a result there is another expansion.
That’s true World of Warcraft The Last Titan comes in, the third part of The World Soul Saga, which takes you back to the old world. On their way to Northrend, players will witness the return of the titans of Azeroth. Players will, says Metzen, have to deal with a huge conspiracy about the Titans.
Metzen took over the role War vessel‘s executive creative director last month, but was instrumental in creating the War vessel universe before retiring in 2016, but returned to Blizzard part-time in an advisory role in 2022.
It’s a huge amount of information for the venerable massively multiplayer role-playing game, and the crowd at Blizzcon 2023 ate it up, cheering on Metzen as he chopped through the three expansions: World of Warcraftthe 10th, 11th and 12th.
