Blast off with official Team Rocket streetwear
The Pokémon Center, your one-stop shop for toys, games, Squimallows and other cool pocket monster themed stuff, just released a clothing line modeled after the infamous hooligans of team rocket. It’s usually not cool to dress like villains, but honestly, it’s just wall-to-wall drip.
The streetwear-focused lineup includes cropped hoodies, fleece shortsAnd relaxed jogging pants among other sick fits, all featuring the classic red-on-black or red-on-white motifs emblazoned with Team Rocket’s iconic “R” logo. Oh, and if you’re wondering where the baby carrier is, that’s actually the Black anorak coatwith a design that collapses for easy storage.
Since this isn’t far off what I wear on a daily basis, I’m definitely digging this look, although I’m a bit disappointed by the general lack of knee-high boots and newsboy hats. Maybe they’ll make the cut in the next batch of clothes.
Some Twitter users have questioned the prices of the new Team Rocket-themed clothing”mean”. I admit that $80 for a long sleeve T-shirt is a bit high, but it still doesn’t compare to the prices on the Sailor Moon collection from Jimmy Choo, or this Loews collection inspired by the Studio Ghibli movie, Howl’s moving castle.
