Blake Shelton has revealed his New Year's resolution is to become a teetotaler.
The country music star, 47, who is married to 54-year-old Gwen Stefani, said he wants to cut back or stop drinking alcohol altogether by 2024.
Speak with Entertainment tonightthe star said: 'I haven't managed to stop drinking yet.
'Even cutting back has been difficult. I mean, it's a resolution, though. And I'll say it again now: that is my New Year's resolution. To cut back or stop drinking altogether. Let's just say I said it.'
The star also opened up about his low-key New Year's Eve plans with Stefani, saying, “If we're home on New Year's Eve, we'll probably go to bed before it even happens.”

SHelton recently opened up about their first meeting when Stefani received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on October 19.
He said that when he met her on The Voice, she was surrounded by her children, and he humorously joked, “It was chaos.”
HHowever, Shelton stated that the No Doubt frontwoman, who recently described her wedding as an “amazing gift,” impressed him with her dedication to her family.
“The first time I met Gwen was in 2014,” Shelton said at the ceremony, according to the Today show. 'She wasn't like any other famous person I'd ever met before. She drove herself to work in a black minivan with car seats in it.”
The country singer also stated that her sons' presence intimidated many of the individuals on set.
“She didn't come in with security. “She came in with a baby and two little boys, which at the time acted as security because no one came around,” he said.
Stefani shares her sons with her former husband, Gavin Rossdale, to whom she was married from 2002 to 2016.
Shelton then noted that Stefani's affection for her children greatly impressed him during their first meeting.
“It was clear to me that she was a mother first and foremost, above anything else in the world – that was her main job,” he said.

Shelton went on to say that he had been continually impressed by his wife's achievements since they met.
“She has risen to the top time and time again with her unique style that has made the world fall in love with her – not as much as I did,” he said.
Stefani became visibly emotional during her husband's speech, lovingly calling him her “best friend.”
She then said to her husband, “You have given me the kind of love I have never known before. From the moment I met you, I knew I was home and I am so proud that you are mine. I can not believe it. I love you so much.'
The singer and her husband started dating in November 2015, and they tied the knot in a wedding ceremony held at his ranch in Oklahoma in July 2021.
Shelton was married to Kaynette Gern from 2003 to 2006 and to Miranda Lambert from 2011 to 2015.
Stefani and her husband have collaborated musically several times over the course of their relationship.
