After 11 years as a coach, Blake Shelton has announced that he will be leaving The Voice after next season.
The country singer, 46, revealed his departure in a lengthy statement posted on his Instagram account on Tuesday, where he also gave a shout-out to fellow coach and wife Gwen Stefani.
When Blake announced his departure, NBC revealed that Niall Horan and Chance The Rapper will join the show as coaches next year.

In his statement, Blake wrote: “I’ve struggled with this for a while and I’ve decided it’s time for me to step down from The Voice after season 23.
“This show has changed my life for the better in every way and it will always feel like home to me. It’s been a great ride over these 12 years of seat changes and I want to thank everyone at NBC’s The Voice, every producer, the writers, musicians, crew and catering people, you guys are the best.
‘It takes a lot of work, passion and adult drinks (ha!) to put on a live show twice a week. Over the years I have built a lifelong relationship with Carson and all my fellow coaches, including my wife, Gwen Stefani!
“I have to say a huge thank you to the singers – the ‘Voices’ who come on this stage season after season and amaze us with their talent and a special thanks to those who chose me as their coach.

Just before Blake’s big announcement, NBC revealed that Niall and Chance would be joining the show next season as coaches.
The show shared a photo of a peace emoji tagged with Blake, Kelly Clarkson, Chance and Niall.

Shelton currently coaches alongside Camila Cabello, John Legend and his wife Gwen Stefani.
Blake has been a coach at The Voice since its inception in 2011. He was part of a panel of coaches including Christina Aguilera, CeeLo Green and Adam Levine.

Over the years, the show has attracted major talent to serve as coaches, including Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys, and Miley Cyrus.

The singer was previously married to Kaynette Gern from 2003 to 2006 and to Miranda Lambert from 2011 to 2015.

The No Doubt frontwoman was also married to Gavin Rossdale from 2002 to 2016, and the couple welcomed sons Kingston, Zuma and Apollo aged 16, 13 and eight during their marriage.
The now-couple announced that they were separated from their husbands and began dating in November 2015.
Shelton and Stefani became engaged in 2020 and they tied the knot at a wedding ceremony held at the former’s Oklahoma ranch last July.
