Blake Lively shocks same reporter with biting sarcasm in SECOND resurfaced interview… two years after making the journalist ‘want to quit her job’
Blake Lively had an awkward reunion with award-winning journalist Kjersti Flaa, who nearly quit her job after a painful interview with the actress in 2016.
In resurfaced footage of the 36-year-old Gossip Girl star and the 51-year-old reporter, who recently said she considered leaving the industry after their “awkward” conversation, the women crossed paths for another awkward conversation just two years later.
Lively was joined for the interview by her A Simple Favor co-star Anna Kendrick, with whom she was reportedly feuding at the time.
While promoting their 2018 thriller, the conversation got off to a rocky start, when Lively sarcastically warned Flaa that she’d just walked into “a full-blown therapy session.”
“We ransacked the room,” Lively teased, after Kendrick tensely muttered that they could “drop” whatever they were talking about before the cameras started rolling.

Kendrick then says “sorry” for something, while Lively starts laughing and grabs a pastry to break the ice.
“We’re going to have chocolate croissants,” the mother of four said as Flaa laughed.
Flaa begins the interview by noting how different their characters are in A Simple Favor. She tells Lively that her character seems like “the most confident woman in the world,” while Kendrick’s character is “very insecure.”
“In real life, it’s the other way around,” Kendrick joked. “I have to call Blake all the time and be like, ‘It’s okay, you’re good at doing interviews. I promise people will like you and respect you.'”
Kendrick then joked that her pep talks were the “reason” Lively got out of bed in the morning.
“Anna’s just a self-centered person, as you can see,” Lively said in an expressionless voice.
In an attempt to get a sincere answer to her question, Flaa asked if women were good at giving themselves compliments.
Lively cheered up a little at this, saying it felt “good” when Kendrick praised her.

The mother of four, who is married to Ryan Reynolds, admitted she struggles with self-confidence and has previously condemned her own mother for being “so confident”.
“I don’t think that’s fair,” she mused.
Before ending the interview, Lively said that the only way they managed to get people to this press event was by bribing them with alcohol and cupcakes.
“There’s a lot of free stuff when you leave,” Likely told Flaa. “You can take some furniture from the hotel room and put it on Lionsgate!”

“We lifted the room,” Lively teased, after Kendrick tensely mumbled that they could “drop” what they were talking about before the cameras started rolling.
As she tries to ask one last question, Flaa realizes that time is up.
Kendrick then makes a “Wah-wah” sound as Lively shakes Flaa’s hand, without making eye contact.
After Flaa compliments Lively’s jewelry, the dancer compliments her jewelry back.
Lively tells the reporter, “I admired yours, didn’t I?”
Earlier this week, Flaa posted a previous awkward encounter with the It Ends With Us star on YouTube, captioning it, “The Blake Lively Interview That Made Me Want to Quit My Job.”

The video begins with Kjersti congratulating Lively on her pregnancy.
Lively didn’t seem to be able to laugh at the comment at all and responded with a sarcastic remark.
“First of all, congratulations on your little belly,” cheered Kjersti, the founder of Content Now TV.
“Congratulations on your little belly,” Blake replied, as the interviewer giggled nervously.
“And my belly?” Parker asked as she stood up to show her butt to the camera.
Kjersti, who seemed somewhat taken aback by Blake’s response, then sat there uncomfortably watching as the two ladies joked about their differing ‘bellies’.
And it only got worse when Kjersti asked the women her first question.
Since the film is set in the 1930s, Kjersti wondered if people would enjoy wearing old-fashioned clothing in the film.
After the 2016 interview spread like wildfire online, a source told People that the tense exchange was sparked by the reporter’s “rude statement” to Lively; seen in 2019 when she was pregnant with her third child, Betty
But Blake didn’t like the question and when Parker tried to answer, she interrupted him: “Everyone wants to talk about the clothes, but I wonder if they would ask the men about the clothes.”
“I would,” Kjersti promised.
Once again, the ladies began talking to each other instead of Kjersti, discussing some of their favorite outfits worn by the men in the film.
The awkward interview continued for a few more minutes before a defeated Kjersti concluded it.
“Sitting with Blake Lively and her co-star Parker Posey for Cafe Society is the most awkward interview situation I have ever been in,” she wrote in the caption.
“Isn’t it okay to congratulate someone on her pregnancy or ask another woman about the costumes she wears in a movie?”
After the resurfaced interview quickly went viral, it led to heavy criticism of Lively, whose alleged feud with Justin Baldoni has been in the news over the past week.
After the 2016 interview spread like wildfire online, a source told People that the tense discussion arose from the reporter’s “rude statement” to Lively.
The insider noted, “It’s such a rude statement. She’s pregnant with a child. If you feel the need to acknowledge that she’s pregnant, at least do it respectfully.”
Lively has been married to actor Ryan Reynolds since 2012
Lively was then pregnant with her second child, Inez, now seven years old.
She and her husband also have daughters James, nine, and Betty, four, and a seven-year-old son, Olin.
