Blake Lively responds to rumors about her marriage to Ryan Reynolds and shuts down divorce speculation: ‘Haha they wish’
Blake Lively has responded to rumors surrounding her marriage to husband Ryan Reynolds, denying speculation of a split.
Under a post in which she enthusiastically gushed about her 47-year-old husband and his upcoming film Deadpool & Wolverine on Monday, a fan decided to comment on divorce rumors.
In response to that comment, the 36-year-old Gossip Girl alum shared a laughing emoji and clapped back, simply writing, “Haha they wish.”
She shared a post expressing how proud she was of the Deadpool star, but one fan suggested that the silver screen stars “should post more of each other.”
“There were rumors that you two were separated and I didn’t believe it because you guys really are the perfect couple,” one fan commented.
Just hours later, Lively accompanied her husband of almost 12 years to the star-studded premiere in New York City, where they finally revealed the name of their fourth child. She wore a sexy, Deadpool-inspired look for his new film.

In Lively’s original post, in which she raved about her husband, she shared a photo of herself sharing a kiss with Reynolds, who was dressed in his title character’s antihero costume and makeup while filming Deadpool & Wolverine.
She also shared a video showing off her shameless beauty and at the beginning she said, “Tell me Deadpool is married to a millennial girl in real life without telling me.”
After showing a montage of several scenes in which Reynolds as Deadpool made all sorts of references to millennials, she flashed a broad smile and said, “I’ve never felt so seen.”
Her video montage featured clips from her husband’s film with music by Avril Lavigne, Celine Dion and NSYNC.
She also checked off a list after joking about his films and referencing Harry Potter, Frozen, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, My Little Pony, summer balayage, Judy Blume and meta humor.
A fan commented: ‘The only thing missing was a [Gossip Girl] reference.’
“Go to the movies,” Lively wrote in her response, accompanied by a winking emoji.
“Brb, I’m going to buy some milky pens to write your name on my hand,” she began in the lengthy caption she dedicated to her husband.

Even though her film It Ends With Us comes out shortly after the Marvel movie premiere, Lively said she didn’t feel “competitive.”
Instead, she said she had “never been so proud” and joked that his achievement surpassed her memories of the births of their four children.
“My y2k girls I should be competitive because @itendswithusmovie is coming out in 3 weeks,” she wrote.
“BUT when your high school obsessions, your postpartum feelings, or nice guys using feminism as a tool, your love for The Wizard of Oz, Succession, Sandy & Danny, car rides with Avril at full throttle, the way the choreography to a certain boy band song got me, Baz Luhrmann’s fireworks to punctuate a moment, even down to the fact that our hair color is determined by the seasons and the French method in which it’s dyed, are all so visible… MY WORD…,” she gushed.
“It’s hard not to encourage my ladies to discover all the ways we’ve impacted @deadpoolmovie,” she wrote. “I’ve never been so proud. And I’ve given birth to 4 children.”
On Monday night, the couple attended the Deadpool & Wolverine premiere in New York City, which took place just days before its July 26 theatrical release.
According to the official synopsis of the third installment of the Deadpool film series, Wolverine is recovering from his injuries when he encounters the boisterous Deadpool.
The couple, who will celebrate their 12th wedding anniversary in September and have four children together, have often publicly shown their support for each other’s projects and have continued to debunk rumors of a split, including during their appearance at the premiere of Reynolds’ film on Monday night.
The couple married in September 2012 and share James, nine, Inez, seven, and Betty, four, and 17-month-old Olin; seen in May 2022
Together, the unlikely duo teams up to defeat a common enemy.
The Marvel film also stars Leslie Uggams, Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, Matthew Macfadyen, Tyler Mane, Shioli Kutsuna, TJ Miller, Aaron Stanford and many more.
Jennifer Garner, 52, will also reprise her role as Elektra in the star-studded film.
Before the film’s release, the latest movie trailer already gave a sneak peek of Lady Deadpool, raising curiosity about the revelation of the blonde superhero’s identity.
In the teaser clip, Marvel fans were surprised to see a surprise cameo from Dafne Keen as X23.
Since then, many fans have speculated that the star who plays the female vigilante, the female equivalent of the infamous Deadpool from the alternate reality of Earth-3010, could be Reynolds’ wife or their good friend, superstar Taylor Swift.
Lively’s upcoming project is the romantic drama It Ends With Us, which is based on the Colleen Hoover novel of the same name and is set for release on August 9.
The film follows Lively as Lily Bloom, a woman with a heartbreaking childhood who becomes entangled in a dramatic, toxic love triangle.
According to the logline, “complications arise when a woman’s high school sweetheart reenters her life.”
