Lively – who is married to actor Ryan Reynolds – had given birth to her fourth child just months before filming began in May 2023, and she claimed Baldoni treated her like a “sex object” while she was overly concerned about her weight.
“For example, on the second day of filming, Mr. Baldoni kept the rest of the cast and crew waiting for hours while he cried in Ms. Lively’s dressing room, claiming that social media commentators said Ms. Lively looked old and unattractive. in paparazzi photos from the set,” the filing alleges.
Lively claimed she was trying to reassure the director “that she needed to look authentic in the scenes in the photos, which took place just after her character was abused by her fictional husband, rather than ‘hot.'”

The filing alleges that Baldoni secretly contacted Lively’s fitness trainer, suggesting she “lose weight in two weeks,” and claiming he was concerned about having to pick her up for an upcoming scene, also although such a scene was not in the script.
Lively claimed that when she came down with strep throat, he offered to connect her as a gift with “an expert he had on retainer to help her with probiotics and combat the disease.”
However, when she filled out the privacy forms, Lively discovered that the “expert” was a “weight loss specialist.”
In another incident, Lively, who was nursing her son at the time, wore a low-cut dress to facilitate breastfeeding.
She claimed the director “remarked how much he liked her outfit” and later asked her to take off her jacket in front of “the crew and several background actors in a crowded bar.”
Lively claimed that Baldoni asked her to take off the jacket because he wanted to “see her ‘onesie’ under the jacket because it was zipped up low, exposing her lace bra.”
She added that he allegedly told her, “I think you look sexy,” which made her feel “ogled and exposed,” Lively said.
Another woman who witnessed the incident reportedly comforted Lively and shared her own experiences with the director making sexual comments about her.

Lively said she and her son were exposed to Covid and contracted it after an outbreak on set. She claimed Baldoni and his Wayfarer Studios producing partner Jamey Heath and purposely didn’t tell her about the outbreak (pictured in New York City in October)
Baldoni was accused of making another woman on set feel uncomfortable by telling her that the leather pants she was wearing looked “sexy.”

When another actress complained about Baldoni’s comments about her early in production, he acknowledged her concerns in writing and stated he would “adjust accordingly,” the lawsuit alleges.
Lively said the same actress told her on June 8, 2023, that “I can’t actually talk to Justin outside at all.”
The lawsuit alleged that Baldoni was suspicious of the two women’s friendship and thought they might be “conspiring against him.”
In addition to being exposed to unwanted comments about her body, Lively said she and her son were exposed to Covid-19 and contracted it after an outbreak on set.
She claimed that Baldoni and his Wayfarer Studios production partner, Jamey Heath, did not follow Covid protocols when there was an outbreak on set, and she claimed that they deliberately did not tell her about it.
Lively said another producer told her the production company had no insurance coverage for Covid-19 outbreaks.
Baldoni and his team have denied the allegations.
