Reporter from viral Blake Lively interview reveals heartbreaking reason ‘little bump’ taunt left her traumatized: ‘That comment was like a bullet’

A reporter who said she was “scorned” by Blake Lively said the actress’s “bump” comment “felt like a bullet” because she can’t get pregnant. She also revealed the real reason she decided to share the “traumatizing” interview now.

Blake, 36, has been in the news lately as rumors of an ongoing feud between her and her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni continue to make headlines.

Amid the drama, award-winning journalist Kjersti Flaa, 51, posted a message clamp of an “awkward” conversation she had with the Gossip Girl alum in 2016.

During the interview, Kjersti congratulated the then-pregnant Blake on her upcoming birth, but the actress didn’t seem to laugh at the comment at all and responded with a sarcastic remark.

Kjersti spoke exclusively to DailyMail.com about how Blake’s reaction left her ‘paralysed’ and ‘like a complete failure’.

She also revealed the real reason why she decided to share the 'traumatizing' interview now. Blake can be seen during the interview

A reporter who said she was ‘belittled’ by Blake Lively has admitted the actress’ comment about her ‘bump’ ‘felt like a bullet’ because she can’t get pregnant

She said Blake made her feel “denigrated and ignored” throughout the conversation, and that it ultimately left her questioning whether she “ever wanted to do these types of interviews again.”

The reporter, who is originally from Norway but now lives in California, also denied speculation that she shared the video to distract from the negative reactions Justin, 40, is receiving. The rumor surfaced on social media after fans noticed a strange connection between Kjersti and another client of the PR crisis manager Justin hired.

“It was such a traumatizing experience for me. I was there to do a job and they made it as difficult as possible for me to do it,” Kjersti told DailyMail.com of the interview.

‘I was there to promote a film. I was invited to meet them. It didn’t feel like that at all.

‘I felt belittled and ignored and I began to doubt whether I ever wanted to do these kinds of interviews again.

‘It took me a while to get over it and get my confidence back.’

Blake and fellow actress Parker Posey spoke with Kjersti in 2016 about their film Cafe Society.

But when Kjersti made a comment about the actress’ baby bump, the atmosphere immediately became tense.

Blake, 36, has been in the news in recent weeks as rumors of an ongoing feud between her and her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni continue to make headlines.

“First of all, congratulations on your little belly,” cheered Kjersti, the founder of Content Now TV.

“Congratulations on your little belly,” Blake replied, as the interviewer giggled nervously.

Kjersi told DailyMail.com that Blake’s response was extra hurtful because she couldn’t get pregnant.

‘[Her comment] almost left me paralyzed. To be honest, it hurts because I clearly wasn’t pregnant and I could never get pregnant, so for me that comment was like a bullet,” she shared.

‘I didn’t know how to react. I felt very uncomfortable during the interview and all I wanted to do was leave and get out of there as quickly as possible.

“I felt like a complete failure. I kept replaying the interview in my head, trying to figure out what I had said or done to make them behave the way they did. It made no sense.”

After Kjersi reposted the “awkward” interview on her YouTube channel, it led to heavy criticism of Blake.

But social media users soon began to question whether she had only posted it because she was part of a “smear campaign” against Blake that Justin had set up.

Kjersi insisted to DailyMail.com that her decision to share the video had nothing to do with the actor.

When asked if she uploaded the clip to help him, she replied: ‘No, not at all. I don’t know him.’

The Norwegian journalist said she was inspired after “another reporter who had had a horrible interview experience with someone else” contacted her to ask if she had ever experienced “anything similar.”

She said Blake made her feel

She said Blake made her feel “neglected and ignored” during the interview, and that it ultimately left her questioning whether she “ever wanted to do these types of interviews again.”

“Last week I was approached by another reporter who had had a terrible interview experience with someone else,” she explained.

‘After the interview they confiscated his tape and he wondered if anything similar had ever happened to me.

‘I told him about the horrible interview I had with Blake Lively and [said] that I never wanted to share it with anyone because the experience had traumatized me so much.

“After talking to him, I decided to post the interview on my YouTube channel because I think it’s time that people who misbehave in Hollywood, or anywhere else, are called out for it. It’s not okay, even if you’re rich and famous.”

In the run-up to the release of It Ends With Us, rumors of a rift between Blake and Justin were circulating.

Amid all the speculation, Justin hired crisis publicist Melissa Nathan to represent him, a woman who previously worked with Johnny Depp during his defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard.

However, some online users pointed out that Kjersti is a big supporter of Johnny and spoke highly of him during the controversial court case between the actor and his ex.

In 2022, Kjersti shared an old clip from 2014 in which she talked to him about his “biggest insecurities.”

And in the description of the videoshe described Johnny as “the most polite and kind” person she had ever interviewed.

It’s the exact opposite of what she did during the It Ends With Us drama, where she described her interview with Blake as “the most uncomfortable situation she’s ever been in.”

After Blake’s ‘bump’ comment, things got even more awkward when Kjersti asked the women her first question.

Since the film is set in the 1930s, Kjersti wondered if people would enjoy wearing old-fashioned clothing in the film.

But Blake didn’t like the question and when Parker tried to answer, she interrupted him: “Everyone wants to talk about the clothes, but I wonder if they would ask the men about the clothes.”

“I would,” Kjersti promised.

The ladies then began talking to each other instead of to Kjersti, who sat there awkwardly as the two ladies discussed some of their favorite outfits worn by men in the film.

Kjersti uploaded a clip of the awkward encounter to her YouTube recently aired on a channel titled, “The Blake Lively Interview That Made Me Want to Quit My Job.”

“Sitting with Blake Lively and her co-star Parker Posey for Cafe Society is the most awkward interview situation I have ever been in,” she added in the caption.

“Isn’t it okay to congratulate someone on her pregnancy or ask another woman about the costumes she wears in a movie?”

The resurfaced interview quickly went viral and Blake received heavy criticism for it.

People flocked to the comments to slam her, with one person calling the star “rude” while another called her behavior “weird and inappropriate.”
