Blake Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds tower over Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo at Wicked screening

Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds towered over Wicked stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo during a special screening of the musical film.

Taking a group photo, the power couple was easily a head taller than the musical superstars as they stood on either side of the duo at the Metrograph in New York City on Tuesday.

The 6-foot-1 superstar and her 6-foot-1 husband stood on either side of the diminutive powerhouses, who are both 6-foot-4.

Blake’s Wizard of Oz themed shoes further emphasized the height difference – she wore a glittering pair of ruby red platform heels.

The star, 37, beamed with happiness as she posed to the right of Cynthia, 37, with her arm gently wrapped around the singer’s shoulders.

The height difference was especially pronounced between Ryan, 48, and Ariana, 31, with the Deadpool star standing over a foot taller than the singer.

Blake wore a white floral print shirt under a crisp blazer, rolled-up jeans and a daisy-adorned Chanel bag.

Her husband wore head-to-toe beige with a button-down top and matching trousers.

The four superstars have had a particularly busy year, with all four huge films released.

In addition to Ariana and Cynthia’s Wicked film, Ryan released Deadpool & Wolverine (featuring a cameo from his wife), while Blake starred in It Ends With Us, but she faced controversy over her promotion of the film.

The highly anticipated film is based on the 1995 book by Gregory Maguire that was later turned into a three-time Tony Award-winning Broadway musical in 2003.

Directed by Jon M. Chu on an eye-popping budget of $145 million, Wicked has been split into two feature films, with the final chapter slated for November 2025.

Critics are calling Wicked: Part One a ‘masterpiece’ that ‘pops and enchants the big screen’ while welcoming audiences to the fantastic world of Oz, and it has been a huge box office success.

The film’s leads, Ariana and Cynthia, who play the witches Glinda and Elphaba respectively, have received high praise for their breathtaking singing and on-screen chemistry.

Ariana and Cynthia have also turned heads with their bizarre interviews to promote Wicked – and recently another chilling moment has caught fans’ attention.

In another bizarre clip, which went viral on X, formerly known as Twitter, Cynthia broke down in tears as she wore her character Elphaba’s green makeup on set.

The two women spoke with a Pink News reporter last week to promote their highly anticipated film adaptation of the beloved Broadway musical.

During the interview, Cynthia seemed visually emotional as she explained that removing the green makeup every day made her feel more comfortable with her own appearance.

The clip showed Ariana, who also seemed emotional over the comment, as she held Cynthia’s hand and breathlessly praised her beauty.

Movie fans had a lot to say about the clip. Some joked that the interview was like “an emotional support group,” while others said the awkward press tour put them off going to the movie.
