A newborn baby girl has been left on the doorstep of a stranger’s home, prompting police to launch a desperate search for her mother.
NSW Police are now appealing for the public’s help after the little girl was found at a house on Girra Road, Blacktown shortly after 2.40pm on Friday.
Paramedics treated the baby before she was taken to Blacktown Hospital.
The police suspect that the baby was left at the location between 12:30 and 2:40 p.m. on Friday.
The residents of the house alerted the police when they found the baby after they went outside.
They reportedly only lived in the house for a week.
A police operation is now underway in the area to find the mother.
