Black U.S. soldier told to ‘stay away from those white women’ in video

Horrifying footage of a vile man using violently racist and homophobic language while addressing a group of US soldiers has gone viral on Twitter.

The clips, posted on Wednesday, show four men in military gear carrying the American flag displaying complete restraint after being confronted by an abusive man in a Polish shopping mall.

The man filming asks the group if they are in Poland spreading the ‘George Floyd culture’, and what they think of the US Health Secretary as a ‘f***ing t** **y’.

He then hurls abuse at the black soldier in the group, warning him to “stay away from those white women,” and that “miscegenation used to be a crime in your country.”

The man behind the camera – who bizarrely has an American accent – continues by saying ‘you’re in a white country now, we worship n*****s and don’t worship Mexicans’.

After the man filming said “stay away from those white women” to the black soldier, one of his friends comforted him by patting him on the back and continuing to move him toward the exit.

The video quickly sparked outrage on social media with over a million people watching it in less than 24 hours.

“A while ago this video popped up on my feed. It shows a man hurling racial insults and other remarks at a group of US Army soldiers, presumably somewhere in Poland,” the man who posted the video wrote.

The nearly two and a half minute video shows the man repeatedly trying to antagonize and lure the soldiers into responding, using targeted language and questions.

The video begins with the man approaching the four soldiers and asking “you Americans?” to which the men answer ‘yes’.

He then immediately asks the group ‘you guys here to spread sodomy or what? Isn’t that what America’s biggest export is?

The brave group laughed it off, and immediately turned their backs and began to walk away.

However, this doesn’t stop the man from asking them insensitive and pointed questions as they refuse to take his bait.

The group continues walking with their backs to the camera as the man wanders.

He continues his initial sodomy question by saying “what is it, is it George Floyd culture or is it sodomy,” referring to the “number one export” he mentioned earlier.

He later asks ‘are you guys here to spread ‘the anal’ before saying ‘isn’t that what you guys learn in your training?’

As the soldiers continue to walk away, the man tries to get them to react from a different angle.

He asks “what do you think about it making your health secretary so crazy?”

The unidentified man appears to have been referring to transgender US Secretary of Health Rachel Leland Levine.

“How about defending a country that has no meaning for citizenship?” he then asks. “Every Mexican who crosses the border is literally one of you.”

The men seem to be talking to each other, walking in pairs and still ignoring the filming man.

As the group approaches the exit of the building, the man decides to try another approach by making a racist remark to the lone black member of the group.

‘Keep Poland white’, says the man to no response.

“Stay away from those white women. Hey, stay away from those white women.”

The soldier turns around for a moment before his friend puts his hand on his back and comforts him and also leads him to the exit doors.

After that comment doesn’t work, he then mentions that “miscegenation used to be a crime in your country.”

Miscegenation is determined such as crossing people who are considered to be members of different races.

In a reply tweet with a second video, the man filming yells at the group, “You’re in a white country now, we worship n****** and Mexicans don’t.”

At that moment, the man who had walked with the black soldier began to turn around, looking frustrated at his statements.

The black soldier then comforts him back, petting him and pushing him away.

The video ends with the unidentified cameraman yelling ‘you’re not welcome here guys’ as the men leave him behind.

News Week recently spoke to the US Army’s director of media relations, Terence Kelley, who said the matter is currently under investigation.

Kelley said officials are also investigating the authenticity of the video.

He said, “The U.S. military expects all soldiers to adhere to the values of the military, while on duty and off.

“We commend all soldiers who show discipline and restraint when confronted with provocative behavior.”

The men have since been praised by army officials and social media users for refusing to get in touch with the man seeking a response.

The soldiers’ responses, or lack thereof, garnered praise from those who came across the Twitter thread.

‘Thanks for posting this. All too often, those service members who choose the more difficult right over the easier wrong go unrecognized,” said verified Twitter user Charlotte Clymer.

“Proud of our boys for keeping their cool,” wrote another.

“This is the army I know and served in. I’ve served 22 years with people like this. The restraint… the reassurance… in the midst of hate from what sounds like an American or Canadian. THIS IS WHAT WE DO,” one wrote.
