Black Ops 6 will see a multiplayer beta for two weekends in August and September, including an open beta for all players.
Unlike previous Call of Duty games, the early access beta period will be available to all platforms, not just PlayStation owners. For those without a beta code, access will be fully available during the second weekend as part of an open period.
In short, if you have beta access, you can start playing as early as August 30th. Otherwise, you’ll have to wait a week before you can start on September 6th.

Black Ops 6 Beta Dates: When does the Black Ops 6 Beta start?
Black Ops 6‘s beta will take place over two weekends, the first of which will be early access only. Unlike previous Call of Duty betas, both weekends will be available on all platforms — as long as you have a beta code, pre-ordered, or are playing on Xbox Game Pass.
The Black Ops 6 beta dates are:
- Early Access (Weekend One): Friday August 30th to Wednesday September 4th
- Open Beta (Weekend Two): Friday September 6th to Monday September 9th
Please note that if you want to receive all beta rewards (see the last section of this page for details), you must start playing during the first weekend to claim everything.
Black Ops 6 Beta Start Time: When is 10am Pacific Time in your region?
The first Black Ops 6 beta weekend starts Friday August 30that the following times:
- 10:00 am PDT off the west coast of North America
- 1:00 PM EDT off the east coast of North America
- 6:00pm BST for the United Kingdom
- 7:00 PM CEST for mainland Western Europe
- 02:00 JST the next day in Japan
The Beta Early Access weekend will also end at the same times, on Wednesday, September 4th. In short, each new phase will be synced with 10:00 am PDTwhich in Europe means an evening start and in America late morning or early afternoon.

How to get Black Ops 6 beta codes and access?
Unlike previous Call of Duty betas, Black Ops 6The early access period is available to players on all platforms, not just PlayStation.
In addition to access via obtaining a beta code or pre-order, for Xbox and PC users, there is now an additional method via an Xbox Game Pass subscription.
To get Black Ops 6 beta in early access, you can:
- Pre-order the game. If you pre-ordered digitally, you will automatically receive access on your platform of choice, while physical orders will receive a beta code from that retailer. Pre-orders for the standard or Vault Editions grant early access.
- Subscribe to Xbox Game Pass for console, PC, or UltimateIn other words, anything but Xbox Game Pass Core will get you access to the beta before those on Xbox consoles or PC.
- In the US, Comcast/Xfinity Rewards members can claim a code, with details here.
- In the United Kingdom, EE is organize a contest a separate meeting, which is apparently also open to non-EE members.
- Participate in official contests. The official Call of Duty account on X (formerly Twitter) organized a giveaway in the days leading up to the first beta weekend, and it’s possible they’ll do more, so it’s worth keeping an eye on their social accounts for more code releases.
In short, the only way to get a guaranteed code is to pre-order or be an Xbox Game Pass subscriber. But as noted, there are a few additional ways to get codes if you’d rather not do that.
Finally, don’t forget you can still access the beta without pre-ordering — you’ll just have to wait until the second weekend open beta period, which starts on Friday, September 6.
How to Redeem a Black Ops 6 Beta Code
If you have a beta code, you can redeem the code at the official Call of Duty website. Log in to your Call of Duty/Activision account (or create one if you haven’t already), enter the code, and select your platform and region.
Shortly before the beta period begins, a code will be sent to the email address registered to your account.
As mentioned above, if you pre-ordered digitally Black Ops 6 (via PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Steam, or Battle.net) or a qualifying Xbox Game Pass subscription, you’ll have automatic access. No beta code is required.
You can unlock a number of rewards that you can use towards the full release of Black Ops 6 by reaching specific ranks. Note that some rewards can only be unlocked during the first or second weekend, so to unlock everything, you’ll need to reach Level 20 during the first weekend and then progress to Level 30 before the beta ends at the end of the second weekend.
