The mother of an autistic teen who disappeared from her Tennessee home is accusing a YouTube detective of endangering her safety.
Andra Griffin, better known to followers as “Bullhorn Betty,” investigates the baffling disappearance of Sebastian Rogers, 15, who was reported missing from his Hendersonville home on February 26.
Sebastian’s mother, Katie Proudfoot, has filed for a temporary restraining order against Griffin, prohibiting her from coming within 100 feet of her or her home.
“She is threatening us and posting ‘live’ messages as she drives past our house,” Proudfoot said.
“She is dangerous and endangers our safety and that of my family. She is asking her followers to help her and do the same.”
YouTuber Andra Griffin, also known as ‘Bullhorn Betty’, has gained thousands of fans for her investigations into missing persons and unsolved crimes
But the parents of missing teen Sebastian Rogers have obtained a temporary protective order against Griffin, accusing her of threatening their family
Thousands of police officers and volunteers helped search for Sebastian after he disappeared in the middle of the night nearly six months ago.
He was last seen by his mother when he went to bed the night before his disappearance, after taking out the trash.
His mother claims she heard a “noise” coming from his bedroom that night.
“He was doing something in his room, because about an hour later I heard some noise and I was like, ‘I don’t care what you’re doing in there, as long as you go to sleep,’” she said.
‘On Monday morning at six o’clock I went to wake him up for school, and he wasn’t there.’
In March, eerie footage was released of the back of the house from which Sebastian disappeared, showing two sources of light far away and another closer to the house.
Officials still haven’t been able to determine if one of the light sources was Sebastian, but they suspect the footage indicates a second person was outside the home that night.
The case has attracted national attention and an army of true crime Internet sleuths who are putting forward their theories about the disappearance, including Griffin, who has nearly 200,000 followers online.
According to the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office, there is no evidence of foul play and the case remains open. However, Griffin claims Sebastian’s parents are not telling the truth about his disappearance.

A possible photo of missing autistic teen Sebastian Rogers is circulating on social media, more than four months after he disappeared
“Everyone is realizing that they don’t care about Sebastian and they’re becoming more and more concerned about him and his reputation, to the point where they’re willing to lie under oath,” she said in a video Friday.
‘I don’t want to become a victim of their criminal activities.
“They already look terrible, but to make themselves look even more guilty than they already were… they engage in problematic behavior.”
According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, a foot search of more than 3,000 square miles around the home was conducted, as well as aerial searches using helicopters, drones and an airplane.
But the only possible sighting is a mysterious photo taken by a woman at a visitor center parking lot in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, showing a man who looks very much like Sebastian.
The woman later turned the photo over to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations and her friend posted the photo online.
Days after the photo began circulating on social media, Seth Rogers, the teen’s biological father, told NewsNation that “he thinks it’s his son and he’s on the other side of the state line.”
He also hopes the FBI will intervene in the case.
“My private investigator has spoken to the person who took the video (and photo). I really hope the FBI takes the lead.
“Because I believe it’s my son, and he’s across the state line. I would really, really appreciate it if the FBI would take the lead,” Seth said.
He also told the network that he has “no idea” where Sebastian might be living, or with whom, in North Carolina, especially since it’s a six-hour drive from his home in Tennessee.
In June, he told NewsNation that finding his son “doesn’t feel like a shared goal” with Sebastian’s mother and stepfather, Chris Proudfoot.
“There has been no contact between me and the Proudfoots,” he added. “It’s like I’m the only one missing my son.”
Days after the photo began circulating on social media, Seth Rogers, the teen’s biological father, told NewsNation that “he believes it’s his son and he’s crossing state lines.”
Seth has previously said his son would not get into a stranger’s car
A hearing on August 8 at the Sumner County Courthouse will decide whether to extend the Proudfoots’ protective order.
Griffin, who previously posted from her Florida home on cases including Idaho murder suspect Bryan Kohberger and the disappearance of Missouri college student Riley Gaines, maintains she did not harass Sebastian’s family.
“I have never seen this woman in person. I have never called her, emailed her, texted her; I have never responded to any of her Facebook messages. I have never spoken to this lady,” she told whjl.com.
“It’s not about Seth Rogers, Katie Proudfoot or Christopher Proudfoot. It’s about where Sebastian Rogers is and how we can bring him home.”
