Bizarre ‘streaming undies’ let you watch TV on your partner’s bum

Have you ever found your TV not really sexy enough?

Enter the ‘Streaming Undies’ – pants that turn the wearer’s buttocks into a screen on which to watch your favorite shows.

They are made by Maison Pixel, two designers from Lisbon, Portugal who are as passionate about retro technology as they are about well-dressed bottoms.

Their specific goal with the underwear is to combat the growing number of people abstaining from sex so they can get more screen time.

Last year, a Mail survey found that just 19 per cent of Britons regularly have sex once a week, a figure that has fallen by 31 per cent over the past 30 years.

And spending more time on our phones or watching Netflix could be to blame, as it also found that 91 percent like to spend their evenings watching TV or watching movies.

This compares to the 46 percent who said their idea of ​​a good night was sex.

The ‘Streaming Undies’ aims to encourage smartphone addicts to combine the two activities by watching videos on a bottom-shaped screen.

To clarify, the pants contain no wires or computer processes, but act as a green screen that can be combined with a purpose-built Instagram filter.

The user just has to point the camera of his smartphone at the green part of the pants, apply the filter and he will be able to see his video broadcast on the back of his partner.

This product evolved from Maison Pixel’s first release, the standard ‘Pixel Panties’, which come in a variety of colors and do not function as a screen.

Described as “the world’s first 8-bit underwear,” they feature a laser-cut square scalloped edge with tiny pockets at the hem to resemble old-school computer graphics.

These can evoke a sense of nostalgia as they used to be found in popular vintage video games like Space Invaders and Super Mario Bros.

So said the designers – Sebastião Teixeira and Cesaria Martins – gaming could never be “fashionable and sexy,” but “these panties make that possible.”

The new “Streaming Undies” iteration, made of 82 percent polyester and 18 percent elastane, rolled out at the beginning of the month. They are compatible with iOS and Android devices

They were inspired to make them after “a dream about sexy women in gritty lingerie” after “a night of intense video gaming.”

The ‘Pixel Panties’ were released in 2015 after their Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign raised £17,432 and is now available from £17.45 per pair on their website.

The new “Streaming Undies” iteration, made of 82 percent polyester and 18 percent elastane, rolled out at the beginning of the month.

An accompanying ad shows mannequins wearing the pants looking at their screens alone, before converging to do so through each other’s plastic buttocks.

“As mobile devices decimate our love lives, the world’s first underwear slash streaming platform will help couples turn screen time into sexy time,” the description reads.

The chroma-key colored pants are compatible with both iOS and Android devices.
