Aaron Rodgers has reportedly refused to have scans done to determine the severity of several injuries he suffered during a nightmarish New York Jets season.
The quarterback, 40, has struggled to regain his best form in his first full season in New York after last year’s debut season lasted just four snaps before tearing his Achilles tendon against the Buffalo Bills.
Now, according to an article on NFL.ComRodgers has tried to cover up how hurt he has become during the season so that it doesn’t limit his playing time. He has apparently refused to have scans done and does not want to know the full extent of the damage he is carrying.
The report adds that Rodgers hurt his hamstring in the September 29 loss to the Denver Broncos, but assured his team it was not a significant issue.
He also suffered a low ankle sprain in the London loss to Minnesota Vikings the following week.
The Jets have a bye week this weekend, giving Rodgers a chance to rest and recover for the final six games of the season.

However, there is no indication that Rodgers’ refusal to be scanned for injuries has anything to do with his interest in alternative medicine.
The quarterback has made no secret of his anti-vax views and has been open about his offseason use of the hallucinogenic drug ayahuasca.
His team has everything to do to make the playoffs, with a record currently sitting at 3-8.
Rodgers’ future with the Jets beyond this season is also in doubt after a campaign that saw Robert Saleh fired as coach and Joe Douglas fired as GM.
A report on Saturday stated that Rodgers wants to continue playing in the NFL beyond this season, but is apparently now seeing his future away from the Jets.
Earlier this week, reports stated that Jets owner Johnson wanted to bench Rodgers following the dismal Week 4 home loss to the Denver Broncos – where he apparently suffered a hamstring problem.
Rodgers and the Jets are back in action next Sunday, hosting the Seattle Seahawks at MetLife Stadium.
