This is the bizarre moment a father gets emotional when a black man who threatened his family with a knife is arrested because he fears the assailant thinks he is racist.
Police were called to Flowers Park in Doraville, Georgia, in May 2022, where a man allegedly brandished a knife and threatened a man and his family.
Bodycam footage of the arrest shows the man claiming he was sitting peacefully in the park when the family started yelling at him for no apparent reason.
However, the father of the family gives another side of the story, saying that the man had yelled at them and that he had pulled a pocketknife at them and told them he wanted them to die.
After the police move in to arrest the man after the father, whose identity remains unknown, breaks down in tears and tells the arresting officers, “If I thought you were going to arrest him, I wouldn’t have called.”

The father gives a completely different side of the story and says that it was the black man who had done that
The man continues: ‘Now he’s going to think I’m doing this because I’m white and he’s black. Or he’s homeless and I’m not. I do not want that.
“I don’t want him to think I did it because of the situation he’s in, I just want him to leave us alone.”
As the man protests the arrest, officers are seen taking the man to a waiting police car.
The officer tells him, “I want you to fill out a statement form. He carried a weapon and made terrorist threats.’
According to Crime Cam Nowthe man was arrested on charges of simple assault and terrorist threat.
It is not known whether the man was convicted of any of these charges following his arrest last year.
The bodycam footage has now gone viral on social media, with people unable to believe their eyes as the man cried.

Since it went viral, the father in the video has been criticized online for crying over the arrest
